For any returning players…

Do you think any/all returning players make an announcement that they are running it back? Or situation where no news is good news if you want that player to return?

Saw in a thread that ogbole removed Rutgersmbb from his instagram. Would be nice to see a foundation and sign of solidarity to have jmike, dylan grant, Dortch, ogbole? all announce at once they are coming back. And then the focus can return to who to target/focus on portal.

I may be crazy, but if I were running the program, I’d turn it into freshmen only recruits. With all the programs going NIL/transfer only, there’s lots of freshmen who need a home. Go against the grain.

We were told over and over again this year you can’t win with youth. We’ll just be a feeder program then.

Agree but PSU won less with talented veterans. They lacked size as did we.

You can win with youth if you have good coaching, but I agree with the fact that we would become a feeder program. That's happening to good mid major programs now.

Freshman only puts us in the NEC…and not the top half. We couldn’t even win with two of the best freshmen in the country partially because our starting 4 freshmen were playing against teams with grown men.

Dont think this will ever happen. Some may be undecided and/or weighing their options. possibly waiting to see who the team signs or waiting to see if more money is available to them. If they are not certain , why commit until you need to?

LOL I support NIL and think it does right by kids and also feel like now we are begging for loyalty and surprised by it.

Before NIL, you had NCAA making billions and kids earning full scholarships. It felt like the kids were being screwed then.

Some limits have to be put in.

I mean, we also saw they performed a lot better than our attempts to recruit depth transfers. I’m fine with having a solid amount of freshman, especially for Pikes system that requires certain athletic builds that are lacking in the portal.

Very good. I want them all back. I love Dortch's effort on the defensive end and he's going to become a great defender once he adds some weight. They have around 4M in NIL (including Vegas money) from Fondeca's article. Use that to bring in some much needed help.

This might be a stupid question but why aren't they trying to raise money for NIL? I would donate some now, but I don't even know where to go.

I like Dortch and think with an offseason he can be a good rebounder and big body through S&C time.

J-Mike, love his defense, energy and doesnt turn the ball over. Made the 3 at a 33%, which a 10% increase YoY. So showing signs there. He just needs to be willing to kick out or figure out how to initiate contact on his drives. The being blocked is tiresome, kick it out or draw a foul. Happy to hear if holds true.

Grant, gonna be a stud. Was great to watch him grow this year.

Ogbole.... well i figure we cant afford two centers. So one giant body although not a bball player is fine.

Correct and the NCAA still allows that loophole that they used to leave after the portal closed to exist.

Maybe once a non blue blood with a big war chest steals a couple of players from blue bloods in that fashion will they act to prevent it.

That's the only way it gets regulated.
