Looks like former RU DE George Johnson is in position to get a bump in pay as a restricted free agent with the Lions. Bucs might give him an offer the Lions can't or will have to match to keep him. Good for George J.

He never seemed to play with his head up... he would start a stunt and do it.. running right past the ball. Other than that, he physically beat his opposite most of the time.

I think Schiano picked him up after he committed to Virginia and he had problems getting in. Even after signing day in Feb, Schiano signed him in July as a linebacker but moved him to DE. They met again at Tampa Bay in 2012 and Schiano gave him a chance to play in some games before being released and pick up by the Vikings.
