Fred Hansard Tweet

Looks like RU still is in the sweepstakes.
Rumors of grades and schools pulling back are coming from fans of a school that
was dropped from contention.
But that beats the: We never offered BS that some fans of that school liked to post a few years ago when a recruit that school wanted, didn't want them.

After saying that: watch Fred become a Nit [roll][winking]

Are you a premium member of this site? You seem to be clueless about most subjects so I'm guessing you aren't.

He was all Michigan until they stopped talking to him.

Don't need to be clueless to be able see Nit fans jump on recruits.
Michigan and other programs might have backed off because he wasn't showing them the love they expected.
Seems like Florida , Tennessee and Rutgers are his choices and Penn St fans are bitter they are out.
Guess your premium info disputes that or you're just sprouting the same type of BS BWI is famous for when things don't go Penn St's way.

Man, your hatred of PSU is really something. BTW, the BWI premium board shoots people about as straight as they possibly can. No one who has been paying attention has thought we had a realistic chance with him.

Not bitter at all. His grades appear to be an issue for multiple schools, so this isn't a PSU thing for me. Looks like a strong prospect who I hope takes advantage of his opportunity in the classroom as well.

Lots of schools have pulled back from him in the last few months.
The fact that Tennessee and Florida hasn't means IDGAF. This is such a weak argument when SEC schools are still after him.

We pulled back from many prospects who are well rated..typically many out of staters. Some times you have to be more realistic and focus on the guys who are closer to home, or you fill up quicker on guys closer to fun.

"Haha now he's left with schools like FLORIDA!"

Seriously bro? THATS your argument? Lmao think before you type

Just don't like the way you Nits BSers seem to be trying to put Hansen down because he doesn't have Penn St in this top three making it look like the kid is flawed and not a good pick-up if he choses RU.
Nits like you act friendly, but really aren't and put the RU FB program down in subtle way whenever you can.
Since you say the BWI premium board is one filled with straight shooters and implying that board doesn't feel Hansen never was going to consider Penn St , I'll stand on my accusation you Nits put down who you can't have and this version of yours is just a spin on the old Nit fan saying of Penn Sty never offered never offered.
You Nits are making like Hansen isn't really that good after seeing RU fans being happy he put RU in his top 3..

As for Penn St hate, blame the cult and what happened for that .
I try to keep that out of threads like this and will post my replies
based on what a nit visitor posts and all my replies in this thread were based on you and vegas' putdowns.
Again stop whining and don't try to lie your way out of implying the kid l isn't as good a player as most RU fans in this thread think.
Nits aren't on his list : he's not as good as advertised message from you .

Im not putting the kid down at all. I simply said teams had backed off. You made his T3...congrats. I couldn't care less if he goes to Rutgers. I'm sure we were interested as we have a huge need for DTs. You are insecure as hell.

Ummm, it had nothing to do with his football talent.

BTW, you know there are probably 100 kids in each class who we don't get? You think I put down all of them? Shoot, I was one of the first guys on here to congratulate you on Melton.

When we start getting 50 mil a year from the big ten full share we're gonna be investing heavily into our athletics..hence why I wouldn't bother wiping my ass with your opinion.

He is a fan of the school that worships a head coach that allowed Sandusky to rape little boys for decades.

Of course his opinion is worthless. He is already morally bankrupt, like the rest of the PSU fans that still worship Paterno.

Have to give you credit for catching my mistake.
But still feel you and the other Nits will put recruits that are highly thought of by most recruiting sites down if they don't want to go to Penn St.
Spin it anyway you like but that's what you nits do when things don't go your way.
As for kbj congratulating RU on getting a recruit, good for him.
Now try to keep from implying other RU recruits not interested in Penn St might not be good enough for Penn St.
That's what both kbj and vegas did in this thread while RU fans were glad RU was in Fred Hansard's top three.

My apologies ( even to the nit posters in this thread) to all and especially to Fred Hansard for posting Hansen instead posting the right name and will make no excuse for that mistake.
When replying I wrote Hansen instead of making sure I had the name right so there's no excuse for my not posting Hansard in my reply .
I thank Cheesesteak for pointing it out.

I said what I felt needed to be said about the posts by vegas and kbj and do't care if they don't like what I said. They can spin why I said it anyway they like, but it was a reply to their posts and the only reference to the school they support was the way fans of that school act.
As for paulyb141's post, what else can you expect from a bitter Nit.

I was relaying information I've heard, nothing more (his grades could ultimately be an issue at RU as well, so again, my original comment wasn't intended to put PSU on a pedestal).

I'm a adult; I follow recruiting very closely, but I don't demean high school kids for selecting the college of their choice. There are already too many idiots, from all schools, who do that on Twitter and forums like this one.

You said what you felt like sharing and I replied with my opinion of that.
Then we went back and forth discussing our opinions and why we feel the way we do and why the other feels the way they do and disregarding this thread is about a tweet by a recruit stating the football programs he's most interested in
Let's not hijack this thread into a personal feud going back and forth about who said what and why and let the conversation go back to which schools Hansard put as his top three and Rutgers chances of being the one he picks.

I believe Fred Hansard's talent could help RU win games and want him to become a Scarlet Knight and wll defend any recruit thinking about being one.
If they chose another school and haven't played RU , I will state my wish they have a injury free college career and hope they earn their degree but won't wish them success on the field. Nor will I try to say they aren't as good as advertised to fans of schools hoping that recruit picks them if I'm not a fan of that school and just visiting their board.
But that's the way I feel and I'm sure many members of this board appreciate your input on Hansard, even if I didn't.

Then why are you posting on a thread titled "Fred Hansard Tweet" knowing your school is already out of the running? I think deep down you really do care.

I'm a pathetic little troll posting from mommy's basement.
Hey PaulyB, don't you have a failed DJ gig to get back to. Time for you to run along now back to dysfunctional land youngster, adults are trying to have a discussion.

Just looking at the adjectives, I'd say we're in pretty good shape here.

Florida:
"I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. It was a nice experience."

Rutgers:
"Ash is doing big things with recruiting, and they're just on the right path to become great," "It's awesome to know my home school is on the rise,"

Fred gets the NJ thing. I think he stays home, represents his home state and I think it will be a great decision for him. He'll be a focus of the staff from the minute he arrives and mitigate so many risks of limited playing time and development.

@MADHAT1 for the record, he was all Michigan a while ago and then they backed off. That is when things started to trend our way.

It doesn't make him a bad recruit. I don't think he was ever into the whole State Penn thing. That was just what was thrown around because his AD at Hun is a State Penn guy.

Hansard changed his Twitter profile picture:

Hmmmm . . . . .
OTE]

school colors aside, it's just a relief that its no longer the entire family wearing Gator gear.....I hope he does well regardless of his choice. He's done a good job of holding back from hamming it up for attention unlike other fellas have done (many not nearly as well-regarded as him).

I think everyone knew the Stills situation wasn't going to end well the moment he started retweeting every WVU fan that criticized Holg for having not offered him. But that's in the past.

I believe he ends up Fla but why the F do our regular posters have to take BS attitudes from fans of other teams on our site?
Kjb- you were about as condescending as possible. Now, the premise of your post may not be far off and good conversation but your condescending crap can go back to your wonderful site.

Fred, how much would it suck to watch Rutgers win a national championship and not be a part of it?

Anyone who's been keeping up with his recruitment can see he's favored to go to Florida. 247 Crystal ball predictions have been all Florida lately
Didn't that same crystal ball predict Darius Hamilton to Florida and Quanzell Lambert to Iowa over Rutgers a few years back...[winking] It's a long way to signing day. It seems like some people live for failure just to say I told you so.

Acknowledging that securing the commitment of a top 5 player and DT is not expected - Losing out to FLA now, not Florida of a few year ago, with a hot new DC from a national champion, would be disappointing.

I agree you never know what'll happen in the end. I just don't see a reason for someone stating the obvious that he'll be going to Florida and you bashing him. I hope he chooses RU instead but its looking bleak

If he thinks it's hot in NJ this summer, wait until he starts playing in Florida. Amazing how southern SEC schools get big names with that nasty heat and humidity. I'd rather pre-season in a northern climate, game in the nice autum months, and finish the season with the fans seeing my breath in the fridged air - how football was supposed to be played. ...and all that looks better when wearing red ;)

Some kids chase either the bigger names or the 'hot' school regardless of whether or not it's a good fit for them. I have no clue where this kid ends up but it's not like UF has all of a sudden become Florida A&M...that being said, maybe Hansard should talk to guys like Mitchell or Walker in terms of chasing the 'big name'...

I'm sure they pulled out the red carpet for his visit and gave a great experience... but damn that's small and not near anything. Tough pill to swallow for an NJ guy. After a year without family, longtime friends, career prospects or even just fun things to do/see it starts to set in that the grass isn't greener on the other side. If you're florida born and bred, it makes sense. But I think that's why we've seen so many nj recruits who go to rural schools in middle of nowhere request a transfer down the road...

Actually, I didn't bash him. I didn't call him a name or anything of that nature. I questioned the hit and run style of "let me give some bad news, then run" You'll never see the person who started the mess return to clarify the situation. If you want to be viewed as someone who can be believed, then give info to back it up. Too often people come here with info just to create panic on this board. You know as well as I do, it doesn't take much to set this board off and it's takes one of the mods to restore things around here.

I hope we get him, I really do. But what we're seeing on the development side in just the short seven months of the new era has me feeling like it will be his loss if he doesn't come here and we'll just go ahead and develop another kid in his place.

And he can go down to Florida and compete with in state kids coming in from regional powers and see how that goes.

Fair enough. Looks like it got lost in translation over the Internet and took it a different way. My bad. He was just stating the obvious in my mind. Like I said anyone who's been following the recruitment knows he's favored to Florida but hey you never know

Were all of you Henry Rutgers Scholars? Did you all graduate in the top 10% of your class?

Why are we assuming there are academic issues? Let's look at reality: it doesn't matter if he's the next Einstein (except to our APR which has gone down in the past year or two) or not.
It does matter if he's the next Ray Lewis (at his position)....and helps with our national image.

Winning is the key. Having the talking heads saying "the kid's a beast, he has a high motor / he's unstoppable". And when he delivers the goods & they exclaim in unison: "Unbelievable" and give the fake "heh heh heh " laugh.

Getting Rutgers the recognition, love / following it deserves....that's what this battle/many others are about imo.
