Fumble call was terrible

You may not like the call, but they followed what the rule is in that situation.

No they didn't. One hand on the ball doesn't constitute control.

Worst call ever.

I thought the lack of an overturn on the Godwin bobbled TD catch was pretty bad as well. It was very evident from one of the TV angles that the ball was still moving when his foot touched out of bounds.

The FG that USC kicked to win at the end was longer than it should have been. On the USC intercept at the end, McSorly hit the USC DB running back the intercept after he had taken 2 steps out of bounds, and should have been flagged for 15 yards.

Thankfully they didn't determine who won, because both of those calls, late hit and fumble were really bad. I also don't like that a player gets ejected after a targeting hit. It didn't look intentional. Unless its blatant or your second one, you should be given the benefit of the doubt and allowed to play.

I guess loose ball drills are now going to be redesigned, where all you need is one guy to place his hand on the ball and everything else is meaningless. Start throwing delay of game flags for dogpiles. More pussification of this great sport.

Lot's of bad calls and agree the fumble was the worst. You could barely see if he had control or not and until recently, having the ball does not mean you keep it. It's always been a dogfight for loose balls.

This happened to RU last year and it was much worse. Laviano got blindsided and fumbled, the DL was on the ground and barely put his hand on top of the ball. I think Goodwin pounced on the fumble but the DL was ruled down by contact. Was that also against PSU? I can't remember but it was terrible and worse than this one.
