Tango can you leave this as a separate thread? Thanks.
As ho26rus posted earlier in a thread on our 1st scrimmage, Mike is playing a 4-1-2-3 formation with Tiernan & Tagliaferri on the wings & Ali in the middle. And as ho said, it really opens up the middle. Also as he stated Tiernan & Tagliaferri have great foot work, speed & can score. In addition they both see the field & the play exceptionally well.
Tiernan is all that she was reputed to be & more. Great feet, very fast, great passer, tough & can really find the back of the net. It is easy to see why Tagliaferri was a first team All-American. She can really play. Also excellent feet, speed, passer, tough & can also really find the back of the net. And experienced. May be filling the role of field general a bit. Ali is Ali--great feet, speed, & shot. The other two will make her even better & help her be even more productive. As a group combined with the middies they move the ball exceptionally well & with speed.
Mike had Sam Kroeger as one of the 2 attacking middies & I believe it was Sara Brocious as the other. Both are Sophs who started last yr, are very good, & fit in with the forwards very well. At one point Tagliaferri & Kroeger switched for a bit. Believe it was Becci Fluchel at holding mid. She played center mid last yr.
Alison Lynch & Emma Misal returned as outside backs. Both excellent. Provenzano & Courtney Ruedt started as center D backs. Provenzano is very good. Steady, smart, good decisions, moves the ball well. Ruedt is a Frosh. Big girl. Very impressed with her. Played like a veteran.
And we are very deep. Emily Mason, the National Gatorade player of the year came off the bench late in the 1st half. Kylie Daigle, a Frosh, started the second half as an attacking middie. Fast, good feet, & as ho26rus posted always moving forward, very aggressive. Believe she will play a lot. Gia Girman another very talented Frosh forward was dinged in the Navy game & did not play. Shea Holland a very talented upper classman has not played yet due to injury. Shea is smart & steady, but doesn't have the speed of this group. Frosh Kassidy Banks started the 2nd half at center D & late in the half came back in off the bench when Provenzano had to come out after a nasty collision. She looked very good, though a bit overly aggressive at times I thought. Allison Lowrey was also off the bench among others who can play.
This team moved the ball exceptionally well all over the field from the backs, to the middies, to the forwards. I have never seen one of our teams come close to it. And this was only the 2nd scrimmage. Nor have I ever seen an RU team with this kind of speed. I firmly believe as they continue to play together the chemistry & teamwork will only be further enhanced. And make no mistake Colgate was by no means the Little Sisters of The Poor.
This team can be really special. Have to avoid serious injuries. As I noted in a different thread both Provenzano & Tagliaferri came out late with injuries. Both had ice bags on the knees after the game. Sure hope they are all right. Very important pieces.

It’s good to see they have 3 up front as to me Ali has literally been on an island by herself these past couple of years and we just relied on the through ball to her if this is correct than to me the sky is the limit for this team
