Good start to the 3rd qtr, w 5:48 left in qtr, RU up 45-26.

Arella w 13 and KK 11 pts.
Arella w 7 rebounds and 3 assists

Stayed around 14 most of this quarter and now down to 10 at halftime. No doubt Illinois will at some point take the lead in this game. Why might that be? They are very fast out of the gate and then let big leads turn into not so big leads. Exhaustion?
 
Scored the first 9 pts of the quarter. I think that when they have a lead, they experiment with different plays and players. I really don't think Illinois has has a chance in this one.

the issue is that they play down to the competition meaning every game goes down to the wire..it wont tonight because Illinois is god awful but these are the things that trip RU up when it comes to important games..its the reason why this team bows out in the B10 tourney and in the first round of the NCAA tourney

I think we should have higher expectations for this program..such as Big 10 championships and Sweet 16 appearances...its been forever

Well, I agree with your last paragraph. Maybe it will come together. Maybe the team is finding itself. Frankly, I have not watched too many women's hoops games. By the comments here, seems paying for BTN+ is a waste of money. As we debate this, they are now up 50-28. Nice run.

It would be fantastic to have the men's and women's teams ranked next week. When was the last time that happened?

Great question that I asked 15mins ago lol.
I think the experiment suggest plus getting a little out of focus is my hypothesis. Saw it earlier this year with men and pike. Lots of different parts to play with.

Big10 Student Production is so awful the live stats stopped working awhile ago. Bad audio, so so video, but Ill Pep band is good

BTN student production can't keep up with the RU scoring
 
62-28 at end of 3rd quarter.
Illini scored only 2 pts that quarter!
My live stat link stopped working. Glad I have BTN+
 
NBC stuck at 3:44 for about 5 minutes now. Same question - what's up? Did someone get injured? Clockgate?

I think I'll relax about this now.

UMd and Iowa were tied last time I checked.

Iowa now up by 2 points at the end of the 3rd quarter.
 
I believe we are close to a team record for 3 pointers in a game. I recall 12 earlier this year. We currently have 11

winning by double digits against anyone is acceptable to me.
But would have liked to see Zip, Morris and Davenport put up good numbers.
Not seeing game, so have to go by ESPN's box score.

T Baby w 10 pts and 8 rebounds

Singleton w 8 pts and 4 rebounds could be the new starting center. Once again Wallace and Davenport w poor ganes, 1 pt conbined. w 8 fouls .

Alexis Norris finally breaks thru w a basket. 1 for the season now.

Nebraska this Sunday won't be easy.

Easy win, just what we should do. As a side note, it looks like Ohio St has remembered how to play basketball.
