We can't shoot the ball. Agree with Patrick we also have no bench and starters are very tired. We miss too many foul shots, one and ones kill you.

If only we had better offensive schemes we'd be over 0.500. EJ needs to improve his chalkboard skills and halftime speeches or we'll never have a chance

I just disagree....eddie is also part of the problem....and yes the players are not good..same as Littlepage..same as Hill

Can't shoot. Patrick I have talked about UCONN game last year. RU playing well and Mack goes out. Craig Brown missed 3 straight shots and UCONN pushes lead up to 10. Mack comes back in and game is over. Sorry too many guys like Kone and Craig Brown on team. Missed foul shots are Eddie's fault also?

I don't know what you want him to do 4/5 of the way into the season with a roster than simply can't physically compete with the rest of the B1G. There is not much he can do. We shot sub 40% from the FT line today. Think about that. SUB 40!

The team can't compete unless we get lucky and make a ton of shots which the team physically is unable to do.

We are a mess. there is nothing to dispute that point. But this is not due to EJ not being able to coach. It's because EJ can't put anyone on the court that can keep us in games. Its not like he's holding back talent on the bench and refuses to play the better guys.

Patience. patience patience. And by no means am I guaranteeing success with time. I think it doesn't look good for the future, frankly. But can not fire him after his first year with a roster that has zero chance of success.

It's safe to say we don't match up athletically or physically next season, either.

Can fans/boosters stomach 30-point losses after another 10-win, non-competitive season? Unfortunately that means more money spent on buyouts instead of something else.

If we are so devoid of talent ( and I know we are not good) how did we beat Clemson, Vandy & Wisconsin. How did we battle @IU. I watched the Maryland game. We played great.

I don't see how you give this coach such a pass - this team has stopped caring.

40% from line" I am old and could do better than that. Etou if you notice goes 1 for 2 from line. How many one and ones do we miss? Purdue game I believe it was 5 in first half. Purdue game if we make 7 out of a possible 10 we are in game. One other thing the other teams misses a foul shot and gets the ball too much. I saw that also with Rice's teams.

If Eddie greats credit for winning those games and praised for progress then he is also responsible for another season curl up

Eddie would look like a genius if he was coaching Kentucky. Comes down to talent. We have zero. It is the head coaches responsibility to bring it in, but at Rutgers you have two hands tied. Hard to do which ain't changing without massive funding upgrades. We know that isn't happening. This gentlemen, is a no win situation.

RIP basketball.

Rutgers will never be Kentucky, or Nova, or Duke.

So you need someone who can win/compete with lesser recruits.

That's great if Eddie can win at Kentucky, but we'll never have their talent and never will.

Square peg, round hole.

We will never have talent as currently constituted. Good luck with any coach. It's a far bigger problem than the head coach. It's a fundamental failure at the administrative and infrastructure level. In this situation, the coach is window dressing.

Blame the athletic directors, mulcahy was number one in my book.

Accepting a team that loses by 30+ and there nothing we can do is pure crap. Maybe we might not reach the top 25 until we fix the infrastructure, but nobody should be this bad. And giving the coach a pass is nonsense.

Yes he's to blame for only going to the Tourney 4 times since 1976.
It was more than Bob that caused RU MBB's fall since Tom Young left in after the 1984-5 season and RU only
being invited to the Big Dance twice (1989 & 1991) since the last time he brought RU there in 1983.
Mucahy didn't help the RU MBB program , but he didn't kill it .
He tried running it on the cheap and the results didn't work ouit right.
But since the Young days, RU MBB has not been a top program, but one that isn't considered a good one .

I blame him that is all. Other people think he did not care about basketball.

After watching another abysmal performance in front of a large Indiana fan base ,its very difficult to really discuss the game .All the flaws have been discussed many times in the past and the only thing that has changed is that the team is performing far worse at the end of the season.Rutgers now has 11 straight losses and counting.I really feel sorry for Mack who has been a loyal Scarlet Knight and has been a over achiever based on the lack of height.

Sorry, you may want to blame Mulchahy, but the current disaster for basketball is due to the Mike Rice scandal, which is owned by Tim Pernetti. He mismanaged that scandal, which cost him his job and set back the program terribly. I think Tim was a great guy and did an excellent job landing the B1G. But his era is directly responsible for this current ness.

It's AD's and just a really bad run of coaches which is something that you can't really expect. Even just picking random coaches out of hat you'd get at least one better than the long list of RU coaches that have been fired. It's honestly crazy. This team has had talent in the years past and even this years team has seniors that were highly recruited. I remember when you landed the Mack class there was a lot of jawing going on (which was well deserved because it was a very nice class that you beat out some good schools for) but the coaches just can't do ANYTHING with the talent. It's the AD, support, etc. to a point, but in the end, there just hasn't been a coach here that could coach his way out of a paper bag besides Rice but we know how that turned out.
