Someone buried a 3 in his face in the first half and he didn't even get a hand up, let alone play defense.
Don't deserve to see the floor if you're going to play that way on the defensive end

We needed to finish 6-2 down the stretch. Losing to #18 on the road does not mean “dream is officially over”. This and Michigan are the hardest 2 games. Lose to Iowa wednesday and then the dream is officially over
I know lacks of bigs on the inside has killed this team, but so has the lack of 3 point shooting. Hayes doesn’t even play, Acuff hardly plays, Ace was sick, we just don’t make many threes except for occasional games. No inside presence on the defensive end and lack of 3 point shooting have really hurt this team.
Presumably Ace will miss a couple games now and then have to get back into game shape...
Winning all our remaining games except the one at Mackey seems damn near impossible. We have the talent to do it but it just seems like luck isn't on our side this season.
Why can Jwill foil a guy on a 3 in what 3 consecutive games now and acuff, who actually had his hands up in a close out, where guy was shooting from NBA distance be benched? Acuff is a better scorer behind 3 than Williams
I get all that but we play Michigan and Purdue on the road. Nothing is easy but this was a must win game to even have a chance with a resume to be considered. No one will care thag we have been hit by the flu or injuries. We need a resume ALONG with wins
That's on Pike. And when zone was working for us early in the 2nd half, he completely went away from it and played man-to-man the rest of the way and they killed us in the paint.
If Holloway had Dylan and Ace he would be fighting for the Big East title. Pike might finish .500. He does almost nothing well, and now you can include handling sick players. It doesn't take a genius to figure out you keep sick players away from healthy ones.

Totally agree. But we still needed threes to truly make a game of it. We couldn't rely on the officials unevenness calling fouls underneath. In the latter part of the game, Queen should have fouled out at least 2 times.
some of those 3's were forced desperation 3's but if you cant hit 35-40% you should not be taking them...but sometimes you have to take them to keep the defender popping out on you instead of clogging the lane

SHU has no talent and now their top players are out. They do have 7 wins and almost beat us. Pike would be lucky to have three wins with their talent.

J Will is one of the most frustrating players on the team IMO. But saying that he's not a better defender than Acuff is rough
