Pretty normal Sunday, and the week will be busy through Thursday

B1G

#13 Ohio State 87 Cincinnati 76 - close through 1st half
#16 Missouri 75 Indiana 55 - 10 in a row for the Tigers
#25 Iowa 71 Northern Iowa 47 - Gustafson had her 11th double-double of the year for the Hawkeyes
Purdue 65 Eastern Washington 40 - ho hum
Penn State 59 Pittsburgh 48 - Page had 27 for the Lady Lions*
Nebraska 81 San Jose State 55 - nice road trip for December if you're from Nebraska

*Annual observation about what a strange nickname that is. Even Lionesses would be better.

Other RU opponents

#4 South Carolina 99 Savannah State 38 - not much resistance
#11 UCLA 77 Seton Hall 68 - more or less this margin most of the way
Dayton 82 James Madison 54 - Flyers won on strength of big 1st and 4th quarters
Siena 62 Sacred Heart 57 - Saints get to .500
Virginia 77 Ohio 59 - 4 Cavs in double figures
Princeton 58 Wagner 37 - Tigers' only road loss is to RU

Other ranked teams

#2 Notre Dame 91 DePaul 82 - hard to figure Blue Demons this year

#9 Oregon 90 Mississippi 46 - Ducks' Ionescu had her 7th career triple-doubling, tying NCAA record
#22 South Florida 82 Florida International 52 - never really close

Also

Georgia 60 Georgia Tech 53 - Bulldogs win annual grudge match
George Washington 61 American 44 - I hear they take Metro, since it's convenient to both campuses**
Hawaii 65 Arizona 60 - Rainbow Wahine came back from 7 down after 3rd
Alabama Birmingham 85 Alabama A&M 58 - despite UAB scoring only 8 in 2nd quarter

**Just kidding, although it is.

Today:

B1G: 5-1
Other RU opponents: 4-2

Year to date:

B1G: 117-41
Other RU opponents: 84-40

There has been one palindromic score in 67 games completed so far today. There have been 18 palindromic scores in 1,728 games this season. This is the second day in a row with a palindromic score.

Thanks for your consistency in reporting these to us each day.

Just curious since today is Monday and the polls will be coming out - how many teams getting more votes than RU lost during the past week? It seems like so many of the better teams are still playing OOC cupcakes and winning by big margins so little space is being created in the lower echelons of the polls.

Hopefully, if a lot of the voters notice Rutgers sitting at #9 in the RPI list, they will start thinking more about giving us votes in the other polls.

Thanks.

Starting with #20, since above that it doesn't really matter:

#20 Villanova - didn't play
#21 UW Green Bay - 1-0
#22 South Florida - 2-0
#23 Michigan - 2-0
#24 California - 1-0
#25 Iowa - 1-0
ARV Oklahoma State (54 points, just 1 behind Iowa) - didn't play
ARV New Mexico (39) - 0-1 (loss to Oklahoma)
ARV Syracuse (22) - 1-0
ARV Oklahoma (12) - 1-0 (over New Mexico), stopping a 3-game skid
ARV Arizona State (10) - didn't play
ARV USC (8) - 0-1 (1-point loss to #19 Texas A&M)
ARV Marquette (8) - 1-0
ARV Kentucky (7) - 0-1 (loss to #3 Louisville)
ARV South Dakota State (3) - 1-1

You would hope that RU would jump Kentucky and South Dakota State; it's hard to know how the DNPs, New Mexico, and USC will be treated.
