Some of you just don’t seem to get the puzzle pieces that go into managing a locker room. You cannot continue to play someone who flat out isn’t producing and has never before produced at the collegiate level. Nobody earns indefinite playing time based on his recruiting ranking. I don’t care who you are - if your D stinks, your not a PG (on a team that needs a ball handler) and your shooting under 35% - your not going to play. That would go for Ace and Dylan too if either of them show up and have GG’s output after 15 games (unlikely).
To sit other guys (Oskar, Simpson, Davis, Austin, Noah, whoever) who to this point are consistently performing better than him to let GG “play through” his lack of productivity at some point becomes unfair. It was one thing against cupcakes but now games are on the line. It’s true, nobody else has been great on offense either, but GG is currently the worst at everything else (worst at defense, worst ball handler among the guards, and worst per minute rebounder among forwards). Therefore - he’ll get a chance to go in and prove he can help us on offense every game but after a few minutes he’s going to come out if he doesn’t help. Why is this hard for some to understand?
