Geo Needs to Prove it Next Year

I doubt very seriously a 20 year old kid in a program with trainers that help you recover between games is suffering from fatigue.
The PSU kid ate him alive and effected him mentally, and showed the opposition how to play him

Based on what? Geo was atrocious tonight but what has Caleb done that you can say he's better than Geo? Caleb had plenty of minutes tonight and needed him to step up. He had 2 FGs and fouled out.

we criticize geo but i think you may have missed three possessions in a row where mcconnell either missed or turned it over late in the second half. McConnell is not better than Geo.

There is not doubt that geo is the man on this team and when he plays well the team plays well. we criticize the guy who is responsible for our success. Rutgers fans are so out of touch it is crazy. This is why rutgers cant have nice things. they cant stop criticizing anything good. Wake up and smell the roses. Take a deep breathe.

Some of you guys should go watch old tapes of brian dougher at stony brook. He was a 2 playing the 1 against quicker guards. Could shoot the lights out but was tasked with going out of his natural position for the better of the team. Brian Dougher and a player named ,Tommy Brenton, are responsible for 85% of SBU's success as a program.

Baker is a typical steve pikiell rebuild point guard doing what needs to be done to make the team better.

You obviously have never played organized basketball in college.

I thought the whole team looked pretty bad. We were beaten by a team with walk ons playing! We have no real scorers to count on and ave no idea on how to take care of the ball.
This game was literally handed to Nebraska. Watch what happens to them today.

Last year at this time I was getting killed for saying all the things people are saying about Baker right now. Put all players through the same lens that you are viewing Baker in.

All of our players should have a lot to prove. To me, the only player that could be past that is Eugene. Unfortunately the most important thing we need to prove for next year is Eugene's knee.

Myles Johnson - prove that he can play 25 minutes a game and be consistent game in game out, possession by possession. improve FT shooter, develop a mid range game. Prove that he can be counted on every game

Caleb McConnell - prove that he can be more confident with the ball in his hands, be a better defender, better S&C, can he stay offensive efficient with more usage.

Montez Mathis - prove that he can have a role in a half court offense, be more consistent mentally, improve outside shot, be more consistent defensively on a possession by possession basis. He needs to prove that he should be on the floor, but too many games he is a liability offensively.

Geo Baker- others have said

Ron Harper Jr.- prove he can take the next step and improve S&C, can he stay in front of perimeter players, can he take next step and create a role as the 4th perimeter player, can he defensive rebound better? Like caleb can he stay offensive efficient with more usage?

Eugene - all about the knee

Kiss - has a lot to do

I will file this with the lost faith in Pike and Mathis doesn’t have it after one game threads. Mulcahy and Caleb are the saviors...will wait for the post that they aren’t the answer....time to check the beach gear and get ready for summer.

Lol...he was a MLB baseball player...I think that qualifies as somebody that can comment on these types of things
Sorry, baseball players don't need to be in elite physical condition. Being able to smoke cigarettes and drink beer in the dugout during games disqualifies you as being in elite physical condition.

he is not a limited player but you see he is not the answer playing 19 minutes a half either. Its ridiculous to then declare him a starter over Geo. Caleb is very good at where he is right now. His minutes may go up next year but I find it ridiculous to say he should be starting now...based on what? because he can look awesome when he plays 16 min per game
And Geo should be starting over Caleb based on what?
