Glasgow

I don’t think that’s the case at all. At least not my comments. I think that quite naturally, especially at 18 years old, coming off an injury, could be mentally tough for a kid without question. Regardless of the sport.
I think many in NJ had to high of expectations for him I always thought he would struggle and take a year or 2 to be what everyone expected.

The kid is medically cleared to wrestle, which means ,he’s healthy enough to... on top of that Glasgow WANTS to go out there.... I’m not sitting him under these conditions....the simple truth is many ppl thought ,including myself, he could come from HS into college and compete right away(like his Hs teammate M. Lewis). But he probably needed the RS.. the talent is there.. just he isn’t at the lvl everyone thought he would b rn.. sucks to type this..
Mekhi Lewis redshirted his 1st year. He tore it up unattached.

So let's just say it then - He is not MENTALLY tough and should have been able to handle this well and win matches. He just cannot handle the pain and maybe recruit wrestlers that can handle wrestling through injury & discomfort with a tougher mindset.

In my opinion Glasgow's season is over and will not make it through.I know it is his first year back with high expectations.Maybe start to recruit another wrestler at the weight if there is the belief he can't handle discomfort mentally.
I totally agree and basically said that last week ...totally surprised he wrestled last week ...we shall see I guess

Lewis did not have surgery so those comparisons are not the same.As already noted Lewis redshirted which gave him a year to adjust without wrestling at a higher weight. We can all provide opinions but the truth of the matter is there is no one else to wrestle at the weight. Thus he will have to go out their to wrestle. Bottomline he should have redshirted just like other top recruits that come into college.Who is to say that Lewis would have also flourished at Rutgers.

If he is healthy why is Glasgow still favoring the knee? This year is done and let's see how he does the next three years.
