I spent the day seeing customers from Sea Bright to Belmar. Gorgeous day and a few more to come. If you haven't been to Sea Bright or Belmar since Sandy please do. They have done a tremendous job .Props to them all.

Walking the dog with beer in hand. No jacket! Short sleeves. Fantastic

If u r truly serious about the 5-10 degree difference at the beach concerning you then you deserve nothing good outside or inside. Buzz kill supremo!! Yikes

Went for a long walk at lunch - just gorgeous out there.

Yeah, I've lived at the beach for 24 years because I hate the outside. I'm old. I just feel the chill a bit more these days lol.

This time of year we get warmer days only when the wind is out of the south-southwest. In the southern Monmouth area that means it's coming in over 2 different bodies of cold water. Therefor it's a lot cooler at the beach.

I went to the ShopRite in Wall earlier. It was 8 degrees warmer than here at the beach. According to Weather Underground, the high today in Lakewood was 68. The high at Glimmer Glass in Manasquan was 54. Even if that's off by a few degrees you're still talking about a 10 degree difference. It'll be that way till at least early-mid May.

The "dirty" Shop Rite on 35 or the nice one on 34?

Dirty? There is nothing wrong with that Shop Rite!
That damn one on 34 and Lakewood Road and the retirement development behind it are on sacred childhood stomping ground of me and my cronies. Was one of the best sledding hills in the area. Damn development!! Never been in the Shop Rite on 34.

Hey. I put it in quotes. LOL

Whole Foods will be here next month.

One of the only negatives living at the Jersey shore is we don't really get a spring. I'll take it though as the fall is absolutely perfect and winters are usually a little warmer. Went for a run yesterday at lunch and it was just perfect. Low tide makes it easy to run on the beach, it felt good to sweat again.

neptune shop-rite > rt 35 wall shop-rite [pfftt]
Well yeah, the Route 35 Shoprite is basically a giant old Quonset hut. Not hard to top that. But Knight Shifts grudge withstanding, the Route 34 Shoprite is pretty nice. :)

Yeah, much nicer than the Neptune one and closer for me too.

But that one does have an awesome liquor store connected to it. So +1 for that.

I know several people who swear by the Meat Dept at the ACME in Squan. I only go there if I need 1 or two things. Too expensive.

I like Stop and Shop in Neptune.

That whole shopping center at 18th Ave & 35 just has such a 70s vibe, should have been razed ages ago.

Wegmans in Ocean FTW. (Hopefully PSU grads who formerly lived in southeast Monmouth County can comment on the grocery store lineup, ha.)

Hard to believe that 5 days ago we had a couple of inches of snow on the ground.

So I started a thread about our beautiful spring weather and it turned into a discussion about supermarkets? We need a much better football team around here. The damage may be irreparable
