I think this is a very reasonable goal to shoot for.get a bye in the big 10 tournament plain and simple we a good cheeseburger next seaon not a steak and lobster fest
Depends on Corey and how we develop in the off season. Thiam's development is probably the most important. He needs to step up big time and to be a legit scoring threat every time he has the ball in his hands. Let's see how Kiss, Shaq Carter and Myles Johnson can contribute next year. If Mathis can contribute like Geo did this year, it would be awesome.Depends on Corey. If he leaves, we are losing 3 of our 4 best players this season. Yes, we are adding talent, but it will be talent that needs to mesh and grow together. And with 20 conference games, that means only 11 non conference games, and it's a tougher schedule than this year.
Winning 6/7 league games will be very difficult without some wins on the road. The out of conference win total will also be impacted by road games.coming into the year I said would sign on the dotted line for 16-15/6-12
next year I will sign on the dotted line for 16-15/7-13
Our record this year was 3-15 in the B1G. The 3 wins were Northwestern at home, Iowa at home and Wisconsin at home.
We will enter B1G ranked 14th in the preseason. 6 b1g wins would be overachieving.
Unless we start running an offense and can actually score, I don't see it happening. Going ISO with 8 seconds left on the shot clock is not an offense.
our mini run might get us the nod over Iowa for 13th
Not unless Iowa losses some of their young talent.
On paper we will be losing a lot. People will look at our full resume and not a mini run in B1GT.
Minnesota and Northwestern are teams ripped to get jumped next year.

Where did you get the info above?Lots of rumors about attrition at Illinois. Mark Smith (who was awful this year but he was a 4* prospect) already announced a transfer, and there are rumors about Finke and Nichols transferring along with Leron Black turning pro.
They do have a 5* incoming recruit though.

It depends on whether this added talent proves that it can shoot the ball accurately and otherwise be effective offensively against B1G opposition game in and game out.Depends on Corey. - True on Mark Smith
- Finke is a senior so he graduates.
- Nichols is a transfer from Tulane so I doubt he will transfer again especially being that he is a star on that team.
- Black was a major disappointment as I thought he would be the star of the Illini so I can see him transferring. Don't know how he could play pro.
- Illini has a 5* and now a 3* in Alan Griffin committed.
Remember again that Underwood is a new coach so turnover will occur.
As long as Nichols and Frazier and the 5* is as good as advertised, they'll be a formidable foe and I think Underwood will turn things around there.
