Golfer James Newton Transfers to Kent State

Just spent 1 year at RU after a pretty successful AM/HS career in Canada. After being a Top 50 program for a couple years, Kent finished '22-'23 as the #72 program, 5 spots ahead of RU. In the past 2 years, Newton is the 3rd out of 5 RU golfers to leave the program after their Frosh year. The Women's team has had the same issue.

Don't know what Kumar's story is here. He did have the Covid year. He may have just finished college or may have transferred but found nothing on the net.

4 of the '22-23 regulars do return in Xavier Marcoux, Weston Jones, Luke Wells, and Rhett Sellers along with Soph Logan Paczewski. They are joined by Freshmen Andrew Reyes of Texas, Cranford's Derek Gutierrez, and Junior transfer from the U of Utah Martin Leon (Chile)
