Good luck this week and even it up at 1-1. You can't tell a lot about a team after 1 week. Washington isn't as good as they looked (which was amazing) and Rutgers isn't as bad as they looked. It was one of those game where everything that could go wrong did. When Ferentz took over at Iowa, we sucked for 3 years before it all came together. But we could see some improvement as the season moved along. I think you'll get there. Again, good luck and look for a lot of improvement.

When Iowa comes to play Rutgers, Akrum Wadley is ineligible to play [cheers]

I believe it was this game that got Ferentz his big fat contract with his big fat buyout last week.

No disrespect to Washington intended. But last week they looked like they could beat the Patriots and/or Seahawks. And I'm not real thrilled with the big contract. The last time he got one we had 4 years of .500 ball.
TBH nobody knows how good Washington is or isn't until game 6 of this season. Rutgers played their Safety's forward towards the line of scrimmage to stop the run and Washington took advantage of the 1 on 1's. After other teams watch that tape I doubt Washington will get many of those opportunities from here on out.

Solid post. Iowa's one of the easier B1G teams to root for and I will be doing so, save for our game.
