The PSU fans I met were all nice and gracious towards me and my other RU friends. The only "issues" we had were with students and your common student nonsense.......
Fan in front of me called my younger brother a p**sy under his breath. Didn't confront the guy because I wasn't going to deal with that bs all game.
Look, they're nice when they're winning and in the beginning of the game because they're dismissive towards Rutgers football.
They're all closet douches.
+1. Always been treated real well at away games when we're expected to get thumped, Tennessee, MSU and especially Nebraska stand out. Games that stand to be close or are close to home, UConn and Syracuse, often seemed dicier. The exception . . . wait for it . . . WVU. Same miserable pricks in '02, '06 and '10.I have found that fan bases like/tolerate opponent fans knowing that they will win the game.Where there is a real rivalry the animosity is more profound.
Interesting.
Agree, we didn't have an issue with the fans but the parking and event staff were not helpful. With the exception of the ticket window person who changed our ticket to disabled seating.Kyk
Opposite of my experience. There fans were nothing but fine to us
Same as my 8 other ru-PSU road trips to state college over last 30 years plus
If it makes any difference, the parking staff are equal-opportunity assholes. Don't take it personally.Agree, we didn't have an issue with the fans but the parking and event staff were not helpful. With the exception of the ticket window person who changed our ticket to disabled seating.
Did anyone else catch a smell of farm during at the end of the first quarter. The lady next to us said this was common on campus.
for all the psu fans that gave us crap for how we treated their fans, **** them. There were certainly some nice older people who welcomed us but most fans 50 and below were just douche bags.
At half I went down to the concourse to get food and had multiple penn state fans jump in my face and confront me. So I had enough and tossed one against the handrail and got swarmed by security.
I really dislike that school, and fanbase. I will be making their lives a living hell next year.
Sorry. I had beans.Did anyone else catch a smell of farm during at the end of the first quarter. The lady next to us said this was common on campus.
Agree. We're talkin a regular ruffian here.
I've been telling you guys for 3 years now that Beaver is a f*cking shithole filled with douche bags. Maybe someday people will start listening to me. Now, that being said, you can't go attacking another fan and NOT expect to get kicked out.
Not one issue at all last night. People treated us well. Besides one 'Buttgers' comment all other interactions with their fans were them welcoming us out there,.
Are you nuts?I've been telling you guys for 3 years now that Beaver is a f*cking shithole filled with douche bags. Maybe someday people will start listening to me. Now, that being said, you can't go attacking another fan and NOT expect to get kicked out.
Was it the girl from your avatar?I have to say everyone I encountered was incredibly hospitable and welcoming before, during and after the game. I was walking back and forth all day between 2 tailgates, sometimes alone and I had many people walk up to me, shake my hand and say good luck or welcome to Happy Valley or enjoy the game. The only negative thing was I had a girl throw a peanut at me as I walked by, not a big deal.
Was it the girl from your avatar?
Back when I was a stripper, girls used to throw peanuts at me all the time. Now that I'm middle-aged, they throw pimentos instead. I think they might be trying to tell me something.
I think they're just watching out for me period. They're just watching out for your health.

I know what you're saying, but, I do know some 60 year olds who are still "always the victim".The jackass OP got 73 responses to this thread - including me - which, I'm sure, is exactly what he wanted.
Guys like this in ALL fan bases. Probably a good thing he was removed from the stadium before anything serious happened later.
I remember what I was like when I was under 25, so it's not like being a jackass in this regards is a permanent condition
I just know a lot of people. As i posted i was minding my own business when someone got in my fave because i was wearing red. But i guess it's my fault. You guys are a special special bunch.Kyk you seem to.be in the heart of problems
First you commented on Carroo's situation and what you seemed to know and now this. I take it you are a student who basically has his nose everywhere it might not be appropriate. Learn a lesson early on...when you are in someone else's home territory it is often best to keep a low or lower profile.
We were there from 2:30 to the end of the game, no issues, people were great.
I had an amazing time. Every single PSU fan we spoke to was awesome. In the lot, they all invited us to talk or share a drink or a snack. After the game at Saloon, we hung out with so many cool people. They shook our hand,, put their arms around us, and danced with us. This was easily my favorite tailgate of my life because they were so cordial. I must have run into a different group of people.
