Great unanswered questions re: Mehringer

Nah. He made the decisions. I'm not speculating.
This. Do people really think that the HC doesn't make personnel decisions? Could you imagine Kiffin telling Saban that so & so isn't playing. How about any other coaches in America? Silly

The HC may take his coordinator's advice, but when a team struggles and certain players are not playing, it was either his call or he was in agreement with the coordinator.

I think the reaction of many when DM left was naivety that he was more important to the program than reality. The reality after seeing Ash hire Kill is that Ash is a respected up and coming coach who established veterans have no issues partnering with. None of our coaches are really indispensable.

At this point I have my opinions about what happened with Ash and DM and they really haven't wavered. The fact that there is still no real announcement out of Texas and the first words out of Ash's mouth were that he was looking for experiance seem to support my view.
His hiring was announced by Texas on Dec 12th. Drew was literally the very first person hired by Herman to join his staff at Texas.

This just 12 days after Chris Ash stated on his season wrap up media call that he fully intended to keep his entire staff intact.

We will never know what went on behind closed doors.
we don't need, the record and stats speak for themselves. Ash would be gone by year 3 if we had a repeat of this year. Ash must recognize he has made some serious mistakes and needed a new OC

Again, you don't know either. It's speculation, but I find it hard to believe that the OC does not get to play the guys that he believes give him the best chance. Ash was not an offensive guy. We are both speculating here, but nice try pretending that you know for certain.
He not an offensive guy but if one of the scoutime team guys is killing his first team defense, then I am sure he will tell the OC to get him in there and set what he can do.
