Greg Lewis shows his toughness and again

Totally agree. Also had 3 huge blocks late including at least two on consecutive possessions in one of the OTs. Playing 45 minutes is amazing. Especially impressive because he got no help up front with Foreman only playing 17 minutes and not scoring a point. For his sake, I hope he has one moment in the sun before his career wraps up. I think of guys like Eric Clark and Austin Johnson who hung in there for 4 years and at least had some positive moments at the end.

I have been critical of Greg's lack of production and progress over his career. Tonight however he deserves all the accolades, warrior, winner, toughness, grit.. 6 points, 16 rebounds and although the official stats say he had 3 blocks it appeared he had closer to 8 blocks and defended the paint well.. Amazing he played 40 minutes and you could see him limping and gimpy at times. What a marvelous effort for our senior tonight. Kudos Greg!!!

Lewis doesn't get the credit he deserves for giving his all no matter how much it hurts.
I see the complaints about RU players, coaches and team, but those doing the complaining usually don't acknowledge Greg playing injured and that injury's role that causes the team not to play as well as it could.
Also minimize the other players injuries that have a hand in this disastrous season .

Lewis WAS great last night. And that is all I would ask him to do. Rebound and defend the paint.
We don't need him taking 12-15 jump shots, etc. Give us his presence in the paint on the d side and if he could have learned to post and dish out it would be solid contribution night after night.

With a bad knee, he plays 45 minutes and gets 16 rebounds. What a warrior.
The team can be hard to watch sometimes, but I have really appreciated Lewis effort the last couple of years. I'd buy him some beers if I saw him at Stuff Yer Face - after he finishes playing of course.

Everyone who reads this board regularly knows how I feel about Lewis. If I could, I'd hire the young man tomorrow. As ColonelRutgers mentioned, I hope there's a game in which he shines the brightest before his time on the banks is through.
