Brendan Hansen finished tied for fourth at the 119th Annual New Jersey State Golf Association (NJSGA) Amateur Championship, held from Aug. 3-6 at Arcola Country Club in Paramus, New Jersey. The Spring Lake native carded a two-under-par 286 (72-68-72-74) with three rounds of even or below-par golf.
Hansen saw himself tied atop the leaderboard after three rounds of play before he closed out his impressive tournament just four strokes shy of individual champion Austin Devereux. Hansen collected 17 birdies over his four rounds, highlighted by six during his second round on Wednesday to finish with a personal-low four-under-par 68.
