Harmon's Final 6 - no surprise, gotta love Sanu.

Actually Sanu's tweet could be taken either way. It could mean go where you want and make that place home.

Gotta love Sanu! He is such an awesome Alumni! I hope destroys it this year and gets himself a nice contract!

sanu had two tweets, the first was just the RU colors, with a direct message

Why would you want to go to UNC at this point? Even if he stayed and graduated, that degree might not even be worth the paper its printed on...

Yeah agreed. Too many other schools out there for a recruit to choose from. Why should I choose a school that has just seriously tarnished its reputation and exposed a frightening lack of integrity?? If they are willing to do anything to push an athlete through while in school then it isn't a stretch to think they would do any dirty trick or say any little lie/fib in order to get me to come to University in the first place.

I was a little worried that this was announced just days after his first SEC offer (Cocks). But then again none of the 247 Rutgers recruiting gurus changed their predictions from RU. The Sanu tweet doesnt hurt either...

Harmon is the top WR in New Jersey, imo. The kid is an absolute beast and only going to get better. If he stays healthy, he is playing on Sundays.

Six is a very odd number. Isn't five the right number? Someone was picked to keep mom happy. Who is that?

Actually 5 is odd, 6 is even.

But if I had to guess Temple seems a bit out of place oher than location. But is hi choice so I won't demean any of the named.

He's got one in each P5 and 1 in Tier 2 so I guess he's covered all the conference bases!

I would not demean any choices except South Carolina as they are shooting folks down there I sure as hell take that one off my list as the old south is still the old south!

Would think that anybody considering UNC would want to push the decision point out about as far as possible to learn what sort of "probation" (if any) will be given - and how it would impact football.

Stop "punching down".. let Temple fans be Temple fans... be smart and ignore.

/off soapbox

My odd thought is wondering if Sanu tweeting to Harmon is a recruiting violation.

Let's also call it like it is, that ranking can only be interpreted one way, it's more likely that Temple wins more games this year than Rutgers because their schedule is significantly weaker. You could point to the USFs and UConns that may have given Rutgers good games, but clearly those teams took a big nose dive the last few years simply because they're in a conference without any names. Say what you will about Pitt and Syracuse, but with them and Louisville and Rutgers the conference could at least pull up a kids chair to the meetings with the big boys... now they can't even do that.

We should get a good measure of Temple vis-a-vis Rutgers in September. Temple hosts TTFP on September 5th; Rutgers plays at TTFP on September 19th. In last year's Sagarin ratings, Temple (#87) finished 25 notches below Rutgers (#62). Will be surprised if Temple climbs above Rutgers in this year's Sagarin ratings.

I don't think Rutgers is moving backwards at all. We went from a bad Big East team, to top half of the Big East, to basically top 2 or 3 each year, to the Big Ten and we're basically a middle of the road team there from year 1 which is pretty good.

I have no idea what Temple is doing, but getting into the AAC in football was moving forward for them and that's really just on a giant leap down the totem pole when you're talking about teams moving in directions.

And one magazine thought PSU would go 10-2 last year .That was a joke with their OL. They also thought Indiana would be better than RU. Temple is not better than RU.

How is it "punching down" when we're literally ranked 30 SPOTS in front of Rutgers in ESPN's preseason rankings? That's basically saying that Owls would win by double digits if they played each other this year.

If anything, Temple fans are "punching down" by engaging Rutgers fans!
A. Because those aren't their rankings. It's some crazy index they created using SOS and a bunch of other stuff.
B.Webb was committed here and then RU found out he was not failing just one, not two, but THREE classes. I hope for his sake he ends up at Temple and graduates but it seems unlikely

Agree that last year Rutgers was the better team.

That said, it's pretty clear that Temple is moving in one direction (forwards) while Rutgers is moving in another (backwards)... and this year, there is little doubt that the Owls should be the better team.

My point is that, when a Rutgers fan says that it's absurd that Temple is listed by a recruit next to Rutgers, I just have to wonder what planet that fan is living on. It's certainly not Earth.

As for PSU, the early line has them at -5 vs. Temple to open the season. Do you really think that the line will be that low when they play Rutgers??

Rutgers going backwards after p[roving the so called experts wrong last season and going 8-5
Temple 6-6 is better than 2-10 the year before, but let's not get carried away about how good the birdies are..

Think the Philly sewage seeped in your brain if you think Temple could compete with Rutgers.
Don't go by ESPN, they rate schools on a curve based on conference they play in.
AAC schools like Temple get higher ratings than they deserve because of being in a weak conference, making schedule easier to win ( thus 6-6)
Rutgers is in the B1G conference, so they are not given the slack Temple gets and are rated lower because of being in a tough conference
and having top programs on their schedule.

Nice try not so wise owl, but you failed in your feeble attempt to put the temple sick birds up there with a Major Football Program.
As far as planet being on, Rutgers fans are down on earth while you Saw-whet Owl fans are stuck on Pluto and Pluto is not even a planet o_O

Regarding PSU, early line is Temple +5. Unless we beat them on 9/5, there's a very good chance that Rutgers will be getting double digits against the Nits.

I don't see much evidence out there to say that RU is clearly declining. There's certainly been no major uptick, but we stuck to the 8-5,9-4 type season we've grown accustomed too. As to the spread, of course temple will be less of a dog, the difference between one team playing at home vs. another on the road is about 6 points.

All of my posts have been deleted even though I did nothing but post facts... but my point was that seeing Temple on a recruits final list with Rutgers is something that Rutgers fans should be used to by now.

The delusional Rutgers fans posting that Temple is "out of place" on Harmon's list obviously haven't been paying any attention to South Jersey recruiting; which actually isn't a huge surprise considering that Rutgers has NEVER paid much attention to South Jersey, as a program.

Come on. How could this kid ever get into Temple if he was failing three classes ?

ahhhhh Temple. I remember they actually had a few fans come out to support their Owls at our home game at the LINC against them in 2012.

At least they'll always have Bill Cosby in their corner . . . . . . . .

We may disagree on things but I do admire and respect a fan taking pride in his team whoever the team is...I've had my share of flack for being an RU fan by arrogant fans of IMO lesser schools that think there superior..outside RU I wish Temple and 1 other eastern school "not SU"success. I think TU is on the right track and made some smart FB hires recently...Golden,Adazzio and Rhule.
