Most remember him as the voice of News Radio 88 in New York for decades. Not as many knew he graduated from Rutgers in the Class of 1951. And even fewer knew he teamed up with WCTC's Tony Marano from 1955-1960 providing color commentary for Rutgers football games. I had the privilege of knowing his daughter when attending RU and meeting him as well when I was at WRSU . Mr. Hauptman died on Wednesday at the age of 87.
