Has a P5 QB ever had worse stats

When your Northwestern defense is holding Wisconsin to -26 yards rushing while sacking their QB six times and pulling in five turnovers, you don't let your freshman QB throw the ball much on a slippery field on a windy day, so yeah, Thorson's stats weren't too impressive. Best stat for us NU fans was Northwestern 13, Wisconsin 7.

Don't bother. This guy is out of his mind. He's been trying for weeks now to prove that Laviano is the only choice, for us, and failing miserably.

Info on Laviano:

Laviano has thrown 12 TD all season. 9 have gone to Carroo, so without Carroo Laviano is a BELOW, BELOW, BELOW average QB. Last TD besides Carroo... Kansas game. He threw one to Flanagan and Agudosi in that game. Flanagan caught another TD in the Washington State game and that's been it. Laviano really sees the field well.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
I was thinking Laviano could be colorblind and we just don't know it yet or he just loves throwing to the other team. 12 INT to 12 different players... now that's spreading the ball around. Perhaps that's Flood first step into making Laviano into a good QB.[winking] Next year Flood will actually get Laviano to throw to his teammate as they enter the endzone.

A player like Laviano should have shown some improvement over the course of the season, but this really speaks volume about the lack of player development under Flood and to a less degree McDaniels. Those who have improved also were the guys highly driven like Carroo or a Martin or Hicks. A great coach isn't one who develops the great players into great players, but one who can get the most out of marginal players. It's having the marginal players close the gap between themselves and the great ones.
