The more I think about it, the less excited I am about the prospects of Pikeill / Cluess kind of hire. I think our best option at this point may be to hire a top young, hungry assistant coach who knows what winning in today's game takes. Look at all the great practices and philosophies Ash has brought with him under the tutelage of Urban Meyer and Brett Bieliema (to an extent on the latter lol). You cannot undersell the impact that has on changing the culture with a winning attitude.
Local recruits will be more excited of the thought of playing for a coach who has surrounded himself with modern winning philosophies and having the hardware to prove it can't hurt.
