Pat and Sarah were out all evening visiting the frat and sorority houses encouraging the students to show up for the game Saturday night. This guy gets it. #InHobbsWeTrust

Yes, he does. I believe that there will be a LOT more Penn Staters at HPSS than most fans on this board realize. I think that the students are our only hope to have a majority, at least in the beginning of the game. We really need 10,000 students at the game.

I'm not worried about the students. They'll be there and fill up the student section. I'm worried about the rest of the stadium.

On the public Rutgers Football Facebook page anyone not able to attend is making damn sure they find some other RU fan to purchase or just take their tickets. I think we are going to do a better job than you think on Saturday night.

There will be be those here who can't wait to sell to Penn State and will dismiss everything good that happens at Rutgers, but we can only hope there that most people are not like that.

I will believe this when my ticket for the Maryland game next year says HPSS as the venue.

That's when I'll know.

So your saying you expect to have over 26K people in white?

I dont think it'll be full and I expect a lot of Rutgers fans to skip the game

I'd rather go in thinking worst case scenario and be wrong. I honestly forgot we were playing Penn State until I checked this board, think how the casual fan feels about Saturday.

Okay.

I get it....50% of what's on hand. Let's hope not. LOL

This is more than I have heard done in the past. This is a very important game win or lose for recruiting. The high school coaches association is 600 strong and was invited. I know recruits will be there and we really need to turn on the buzz again. We need them to see the scarlet in the stands AND the seats filled. We'll be there, four strong, in section 125.

going in expecting 50% of the stadium to be Penn State.
ZERO chance of that. First you will have 10,000 students. Second, you still ahve tickets available on here and SN.com which means PSU fans aren't rushing to buy. third, PSU's season got exciting three weeks ago so it's not like 25k people bought tickets in June. They will have a a tad more than they did 2 years ago. That number will be greatly exaggerated by their fans and the usual suspects on here.

do you count yourself as one of them? You seen to have quite the love affair with that school. Please explain to me where they are getting all these tickets?

Excuse you? I am not the guy who purchased a Pen St mini-plan, you were.

I hate Pen St football more than anyone, but I'm a realist.

They are easily getting them through SK.com, Stubhub and other 2nd source resellers, through RU fans who bring them to games or who sell them their tickets.

Plus still many tickets available on SK.com

I think @Rokodesh was saying 50% of what's on hand. And even then I don't think it will be that high.

Yeah agree, I think it will be closer to 60% Pen St fans.
And even if @Rokodesh is close there is now way it will 60%.

At the end if it doesn't go our way? Yeah, maybe 60% of what's left. Just like for Michigan this year and tOSU last.

They will be late arriving and gone at halftime if RU is down 3 scores. Winning is the only thing that will get thrm hooked again

Are student tix sold out...that Hobbs is visiting students would indicate that pickup is lagging

If you are gonna stalk and keep notes get it right. I had two seasons of full season tickets before getting a mini plan. It's called family time and watching college football. I always wore the other teams colors. You do know tickets still available don't count as PSU fans? Also, at no time were there 26k tickets available on the secondary market. Again, Franklin made this pitch starting last weekend. Hasn't been any real major movements on sales since then.

Agree that Franklin's pleas seem to have been ignored by Pen St fans.

But, you did support the Pen St program financially more than any RU fan on this board.

If that many PSU fans were coming there wouldn't be any tickets left. I'm shocked that they haven't scooped them up, there having a great year and there are 1000's of alums within an hour of RU
Maybe none of those "hundred of buses" didn't get their EZPass put on in time?

yea and so does anyone who crosses into PA or buys anything there. I don't think the 1500 bucks I dropped on tickets plus RV parking is their break even point. Besides, I like to think that some of that money went to the raped little boys or the salaries of the guys who took down the statue.

I really hope that happens. I'm doing what I can do for the program. The least the program do is reward me by playing home games at home. At the very least, take that game out of the season ticket package. 'Cause I'm not going to YS.

that may be true but this is basically in closer proximity than a home game for a whole lot of PSU fans
And you know what, it really doesn't bother me.

One would assume after we got into the B1G they would be the ones who show up the most at Rutgers just because of this. Geographically speaking it makes sense.

$$$ They won't spring the hundo for the tix. Everything in their state is cheaper for good reason. They are known to be a cheap group.

They don't have the wealth area Michigan alum due nor the passion of the tOSU guys.

The Hobbs video on Twitter stated student tickets are at 11,000-12,000 and climbing. Not sure if it's true but Hobbs said that in his video.

I'm 100% positive he wouldn't make that up and put it on video. Wow, that's freakin' awesome, way to go kids!

Hobb's has the makings of a great AD. Will be a big part in "changing the culture" of RU Athletics.

I love him making the rounds. However, my daughter is at a major lettered sorority and he didn't get there. If he is going to do it, hit every spot. My daughter has been to all but one or two games since she was born 20 years ago. She's a major supporter of the team and was disappointed he didn't get to their house.
