Why? This may be hard for you but actually provide a logical statement. Why is this season a disappointment?

We did not beat a single team with a wining B1G conference record. In fact we only beat one team that had a winning record in their conference all year: FDU.

Wow. Don’t know where to start. A team with no point guard some how played all season with that glaring hole. Tonight the team dropped the ball and had 21 TOs. Art threw INTs all year and no changes were made. Good try but those aren’t even close.

Don’t disagree there but again I don’t think that was Pike. The first 5 possessions went down low to Gene and RU converted a few. Then RU didn’t get some calls and Nebraska started double teaming the post. That is when the turnover show started. If guys can’t catch and dribble it’s going to be an ugly night.

Jesus. 7 days ago there were lines outside the RAC 90 minutes before the game for people waiting for Pike bobbleheads. A 1 point loss to PSU (the horror, the horror), a 14 point loss @ Indiana and a late blow lead to a team with 1 less conference win than us and the program is in the crapper.

It's a bad progression these last three games
- No show first half against PSU, then a valiant comeback that fell short
- No show game against a surging Indiana in a really poor effort throughout
- Sloppy game with late game collapse against the 2nd worst team in the league that had dropped 11 of their prior 13 games and was playing with just 6 scholarship guys

Each game got progressively worse.

It's possible that the team just ran out of steam and just couldn't peak at the right time, but after two great wins vs. Minnesota and @Iowa it was a steady drop off in performance heading into the summer. Great season, above expectations, with a deflating ending.

our 3 bigs had a combined 3 fouls between them...someone has to answer to that

This is classic Rutgers overreaction its not even funny. Rutgers lost by 1 point against a team playing out of its mind, then they lose to a team playing at an elite level on the road, player gets arrested in a shocking way and ok tonight was a dud on a mentally/physically exhausted team in lets face it an irrelevant play in game that has no consequence whatsoever. Didn't Indiana lose like 7 in a row and PSU got 0-11 to start the conference and Illinois had a horrible non-conference, Iowa playing awful towards the end of the year. Point is all these teams had really poor stretches and this was Rutgers'. Big deal! This is what teams go through and accentuated by youth. The growing pains and additions to the team will easily get this team over the hump next year to bubble status.

Stop with the excuses.....mentally/ physically exhausted....so are other teams but they bring it and want it more.....and what happens if we don’t get the team over the hump next year to bubble status?

It's amazing we win any games shooting the way we do. And I mean for the past 20 years.

You’re my favorite poster but you’re too pissed right now. Sleep on it and do a great write up tomorrow.

We both know if you had a crystal ball back in November and were able to see how our season went you’d be jumping for joy. Tough finish for sure, but that doesn’t dismiss the legitimate progress which was driven by freshman.

No, we were a team needing to beat a devastated team to put a validation stamp on our improvement to fellow members and BTN analysts and our own fans in the first round of the tourney. And in w weeks we went from needing 1 win to finished 10 and get a bye and looked like last place team again. That doesn't bother you..can't help you. Bothers the hell out of me.

Spot on response because far too many fans just shrug off the latest loss /season and already are predicting success for next year without the team having one go to scorer in crunch time.
