How did Indiana get to a bowl game?

It is sad that our team was a better team and didn't make it to a bowl game. Even a lower tier bowl game is a lot more fun than no bowl game.

They were very explosive on Offense and got better as the season went along.

Indiana was a better team....6-6 to Rutgers 4-8. Remember in the game against RU they were dominating us until they imploding with mistakes that credit to Rutgers we took advantage of. In the end RU won by a fg but I don't think just because they won RU is the better team. Indiana also played more competitively against other schools in the Big 10.

Their QB was unstoppable in the first half.Rutgers was so bad that midway in the third quarter I was si disgusted with the way Rutgers was playing that i went out to dinner only to learn afterwards that Rutgers had miraculously pulled out a win..

With the easy OOC schedules almost all P5 teams play, only 6 wins = bad team, not very hard to do if you can walk and chew gum at the same time

They had a great senior QB and we had well you know. He kept them in games and they scored a lot. They were only blown out twice an one of them was to psu where they only scored seven points where Sudfield was out. The other to MSU was 55-24. Their defense sucks but not quite as much as ours. It was the senior QB who won most of those games.

They were beating us badly most of that game before they had a massive meltdown and everything rolled our way, allowing us to have a miracle win, and trust me we needed a miracle to beat this this season.

They took care of business against Purdue and we couldn't beat Maryland. Simply put, we were poorly coached. Our fans like to think we are much better then we really are. We won four games for a reason. When your defense is out of position on every play, chances are your coaching is sub par. That's why we didn't make it to a howl game.

We were a 4 win team and I am not happy we lost to a 2 Win Maryland team coming into our final game.
And that with an Interim Coach who had not won a game in 8 years.

See how that works? Only Rutgers fans trip over themselves to make excuses for the opponent but regard their own teams injuries as part of the game.

Rutgers won because they played the game hard for 60 minutes, pure and simple.
