People claim Sanders should come back to RU to work on his game for another year before being ready for NBA. What is level of play for guys in D league? Is level of D league play below B1G? below D1?

Or, Would the talent level be comparable or better? If that is the case and Sanders just wants to play and he is not concerned with his RU education. Wouldn't getting paid and having the ability to practice work on his game 24x7 for full year be a better way to prepare for NBA?

Thoughts? NBA D vs B1G...

Very interesting question. My two cents is that stylistically the two are very different, but the overall quality is roughly equal.

IMO Sanders should stay in school if by doing so he can improve his draft position. I am not sure he can.

There is no way a league full of professional athletes whose worst players would be or could be B1G all Americans is in the same overall stratesphere talent wise as the B1G come on. Their bench players were all college stars.

Agree...not even close. Huge mistake to assume D league is a given for Corey.

I'd like to think/hope that if he leaves there is at least a team that promises him a spot and that team fulfills their promise. I do agree with your original premise though, making the D League is actually an accomplishment.

I'm not sure Corey would have even made a d league roster this year. One more year of improvement and he should be at that level.

It's like discussions I used to have with friends over whether the NCAA BB champion could beat the worst team in the NBA. Answer, no. They'd get their asses whooped. (Except maybe the Jordan NC team, haha.)
