I am wondering what RU did in terms of masks last night. Were most people wearing them? Did anyone from RU try to enforce the rule?

Yes, enforced going in. Didn’t see anyone say anything to the few who didn’t keep them on. One St. P. player wore her mask while playing.

They certainly was no enforcement at the mens game last night in the stands as the couple directly next to me did not have theirs on at all and looking around I bet it was only 60% wearing their masks in their seats

its up to people to make their own decisions once inside the arena, required to get in but there is nothing they can do afterward, there will be less and less wearing as the season goes on

I know your totally anti mask but the rule is not to wear your mask to get in but to wear your mask in the arena for the entire game except when you are eating or drinking

You would think someone with a doctorate would know that "your" doesn't mean "you are"

He is correct. Hobbs and the Jersey Mike officials did not have their masks on when they were introduced. Does that mean that the virus is not present during introductions?

they are not wearing masks at most arenas at least in the mens game, not sure why RU is continuing with the charade
They are in Arizona. All building of the University.

Compliance varies. Folks on the floor (not the fans, the players, coaches, performers) are exempt. Referees and sideline officials are masked. It isn't enforced, but most at the women's game (6000) do wear masks.

How much does it accomplish - probably a small amount. I think masks have an effect, but much smaller than what most folks think. If I wasn't vaccinated I wouldn't go to the game, masks or not. Since I am, I go.

Masks do have an effect…if ugly, you don’t get to look at someone…also they trap most bad breath so they can be a BIG plus…otherwise unless you’re wearing a high quality medical grade one, it is for show and to make one feel better. PERIOD

In venues that have a mask mandate to get in and allow masks off when eating /inking, mandate really is ineffective.
Most masks keep the person wearing them from breathing out inflected particles, but don't protect the wearer from being infected by someone not wearing a mask or not wearing their mask properly.

I would say in restaurants and other public establishments that ask patrons to wear masks when entering but allow mask off tro eat and drink, just put an enter at your own risk sign where they come in and just go maskless.
As a protection for business, a form must be signed releasing establishment from liability be given to everyone entering.
As it stands now masks are useless if allowed to be taken off for a short time then expected to be put back on..
