This is not a knock on Corey Sanders but lots of us wondered how good we'd be if Sanders came back for this season. Many said we would take a step back. Corey was a great college player but if he came back this season he would have taken a lot of the minutes that have gone to our freshmen, slowing their development, IMO. Our offense also wouldn't be as cohesive as it is at this point in the season. Love Corey but there would have been a lot more one on one plays. Not having him come back worked out best for RU basketball and its future.

Someone came out here a month or so ago and asked where were all the posters who thought we would be better without Sanders. Where's he?

We needed Corey when he was here, no way the program is where it is without him. He gave us hope, kept the team afloat across the regime and juuuuuust gave the fan base enough that they didn’t totally abandon basketball. And he topped it all off with an unforgettable week at the Garden that can never be replaced, for its time in our history and the momentum it gave going into this season. No need to speculate hypotheticals like this kind. He will always be one of the greats and a part of our history

Can’t win with a guard who dominates the ball and can’t shoot.

Ultra talented, but flawed basketball player. Add chemistry aspect.....
