I just became a FORMER NJ Jet fan

Mike Maccagnan has been nearly flawless as the Jets GM ... until now.

I mean, you have got to be kidding me. I don't give a rats @ss that Hackenberg played at Penn State. I care that he has the mobility of a rock, and while he has a canon for an arm, he's just as likely to throw a nice pass as he is to throw one 3 feet over his receivers head. They just showed video from his pro day where he did just that several times. No pass rushers. Just him wearing shorts and a t-shirt and his receivers and he misses the dude by 3 feet.

And, oh yeah. By they way. Nothing like drafting a player with an attitude problem for a position that requires a player to be a team leader.

I tell ya. You can't make this stuff up.

Curious if the majority on this board would rather see Hackenburg play well as a Jet and make Franklin/Penn State look bad fir wasting/misusing his talents, or would rather he play bad and make Jets look bad for picking him... I realize this creates a major paradox as most here are salivating at the thought of certain aspects of each scenario and won't be able to choose just one option...

He may not be a QB, but he sure looks like Joe Namath when he throws the ball. And that is good enough for us Jets fans.

If they had to pick a QB here, I cannot understand why the wouldn't have chosen Connor Cook. A much better choice and the guy is a winner.

The Jets look foolish here. I hope they know something I don't.

Mike Maccagnan obviously thinks that Hackenberg has more potential than Cook, or you know...he would've picked Cook. Lol. It's not rocket science. He's done more scouting work on both players than you have. I'm not even saying I agree with the pick, but I know that Maccagnan understands what his job is.

Why are the Jets squeezing Fitzgerald?

They have no other option at this point - think he wants 14 mill - they offered 7 mill - call it 10 mill and away you go?

I would much rather see Hack succeed for the Jets so the stories will be about how badly Franklin and PSU mismanaged his talents. I fear he will be a mediocre QB, though, with a short-lived career.

In all seriousness, I'm surprised and somewhat disappointed that Hack didn't invite Kyle Flood to his draft, kid has a lot to learn from Eli Apple.

Brett Favre is available. That would be a Jet move.

Sure he knows what his job is and he's entitled to be wrong, too.
