I like reading opposing team boards before big games and afterwards if we win, although I almost never post on them. I've made a few posts on Iowa and Purdue boards. I always try to be respectful when I do it. Both the Purdue and Iowa boards seem to be open to that. The Indiana board moderation is so strict, I'm not bothering to try posting anything over there. Their house, their rules. So be it.

when Purdue board kept calling RHJ a thug i told those racist hicks to go fukk themselves and still banned i think

When their moderator bans someone for a like, or laughing emoji, it is obvious they don’t want visitors to their site

They should tolerate some back and forth with visiting fans

Bad move on that board

I have gone on a few boards before games to have an actual basketball discussion and it's been enjoyable

If you go there with respect and just ask about their team and/or give a breakdown of Rutgers it's usually received very well

I’m old enough to remember the Final Four run vividly in ‘76….hoping we beat Michigan to get a chance at equally undefeated Indiana. We played horribly against Michigan and it was over.

Since that time, for 40+ years, the thought of beating Indiana was a dream…and so was the chance to even play them.

Granted, Indiana isn’t what it used to be, but it’s still a blue-blood with an historic program, that is showing life again.

We now not only play them regularly, but have beaten them 6 STRAIGHT times.

Seriously, let that sink in.

Calling Indiana a Fly over state is just as bad as whatever they may say about Jersey. That's fine if you wamt to wade through the gutters with the rest of the filth.
That's exactly what it is. Who in their right mind would go out of their way to visit Indiana?

Like every state it’s got cool spots.

Bloomington is a great college town. I’ve heard West Lafayette is too

Indianapolis hosts many B1G championships and people usually have glowing things to say about their experience
Yeah, uninformed comments about how "terrible" Indiana is from here are no better than uninformed comments from Indiana about how "terrible" New Jersey is. Not sure why that is such a mystery...

I have, many times. Lots of friends in Bloomington, Carmel, Fishers, and Indianapolis.
I had to move there following the Continental/United merger when we (Continental) were shipped to Chicago...we bought a big house and paid very little in taxes...the people were really nice..this was in St John, a nothwest suburb (39 miles south of Willis Tower.) There was lots of corn fields...corn, corn, corn, and more corn. Not much to do (three neighbors had enough kids to field a baseball team...) We moved back to Houston after a year.

I don't have any animosity towards the state; some things are done much better there than in NJ or TX...but they do have a thing about their schools that can be annoying. Yeah, I got banned from the IU site but I normally have zero problems on the Purdue site or other B1G sites because as some here have done, I stay respectful. But not IU. They rankle like the Fruit and Pound Puppies.
