From T. Hunt's article: (Link included below for those who want to read the entire piece.) -Oh, and let's hope young Mr. Vretman's prediction is correct. [thumb2]

"Vretman, who has struck a connection with fellow Rutgers recruit Owen Bowles — a three-star defensive tackle from Cedar Creek (Egg Harbor City, N.J.), who also visited Tuesday — believes Rutgers fans are in for a treat regarding the 2017 recruiting class.

"I really think that this class is going off," he said. "A lot of people are coming in. A lot of people are gonna go to Rutgers, commit, and help build this program."

How high of a recruiting class do you think this is shaping up to be? Top 25?

Good Lord, do people on here have to parse every single word written? -Would "interesting" have suited you better, or "exciting", or "positive"??

Interpret the quote in whatever context you want. Doesn't matter a damn to me.
I thought it was f*cking fabulous, and if anyone disagrees, especially the DNA guy, I don't care. 3 dancing bananas for that quote. [banana][banana][banana]

From http://www.dictionary.com/browse/intrigue

Intrigue:
to arouse the curiosity or interest of by unusual, new, or otherwise fascinating or compelling qualities; appeal strongly to; captivate

I think that quote would appeal strongly to most RU football fans.

I get the appeal of the quote.

What I'm suggesting is that its ramifications are clear and obvious to the point of eliminating "intrigue".

He can say what he wants but if he is not part of it then it means nothing.. Our old buddy Rolf the Swede in California would have loved this guy.

Yes. We call this "reading".

The dictionary defines the word "intrigue" as meaning: "To arouse the curiosity or interest of; to appeal strongly; captivate", and if you don't think that quote by Mr. Vretman falls within that definition, then either your reading skills aren't as proficient as you think, or you simply enjoy trying to make an issue out of nothing.

RU4Real, are you having problems getting aroused? You had suggested some websites in another thread. Sitting in these is supposed to work too:

Don't argue the tough points when you have him dead to rights on improper punctuation. Three times in the same thread. Boom!

No inside info, but If we keep the on the field product respectable, I think the bigger dominoes fall.

Nothing negative in that quote at all. All it says to me is how incompetent the previous staff was and how much better this one is. I've never been more optimistic in my life and to think these guys are just getting started.

devoted, don't you recognize the keyboard police (bully)?

His comments about PS could be called either confusing or intriguing...

I, for one, am intrigued. :)

I wonder if Ohio State had these types of vocabulary arguments when they started to be good. If so ... I'll take it!

Remember, this is Rutgers. Do not get your hopes up. Things always find a way to go wrong.

We have to stop that way of thinking. I've seen and been a part of remarkable things with this university - on the sports , academic and social side. The power of that negative thinking is huge; it needs to be replaced with the expectation that things will go right. If you haven't started already, now seems like a real good time

I think you might be missing the point. What I'm saying is "obvious implication is obvious."

Yeah, nafije, sadly...I do. -I have to admit, though, that this instance of that kind of thing is so silly and unnecessary it almost sets a new standard of stupid.

And with that, I'll put this "intriguing" drama to rest and simply focus on the positive recruiting vibe put out by young Mr. Vretman.

Thanks for hijacking the thread guys. This is a football message board. Enough with the grammar pissing contest.
