Is it just me

Too young, too tense. Yes. They get rattled and need to learn to not get rattled. Here is where I think Shaq Carter is key. He can make lay-ups in traffic. Feed him the ball and stop a run.

I agree completely. He needs to play more.

Particularly, Geo or Omoruyi have gotten 2 early fouls way too much... seems like every game now and when the other team goes on a run because of it we fall apart

This team needs to grow a set in a hurry. Start playing like you belong and show some toughness. Early they showed a little moxy an then they caved. Need to step up and be men out there.

Mathis and Omoruyi play like men. Unfortunately they both got into foul trouble which took the life out of the team.

Problem is our entry passes into the paint are often wild and prone to turnovers. Pikiell needs to address that.

It’s an overall issue of mental toughness imo. Sloppy passes. Bad shot selection. Just part of a theme of allowing yourself to get punked on your home court no less.

We don’t have an upperclassmen who can take control and end a scoring drought. This is going to happen a lot. Progress is not linear

Obviously we don't want to repeat the Mike Rice era but one thing I liked about his teams was this: with Rice always buttering up the refs, his players went into every game knowing that they were going to get an unfriendly whistle, on top of the handsy defense he had them playing. As such, they didn't really let it bother them.
