Look, it's clear as day that - be it this year or next - Eddie Jordan is not long for this program, and that's a good thing. But it's silly to insinuate he doesn't care about his alma mater, or wasn't motivated (initially at least) to turn this thing around. I have little doubt Eddie loves RU and that it pains him things turned out as they did.
The jury is out on Ash, but the biggest difference seems to be that Ash understands what he's getting into, and at least sees the scope of the challenges he's facing.

EJ cares about RU and this program. You saw it after his last conference win. But he simply is not a college coach. He needs to do the right thing for himself and for his Alma mater and step aside. Everyone will be grateful for his service, efforts, and at least aside from the W-L record, bringing dignity back to the program.
