Ismael Massoud on ESPNU right now

At the very beginning the announcers said he was recovering from a foot injury... Broken toe I think....but, I'm not sure.

He looked very tentative on the court, maybe because of the injury. Needs to gain weight and get bigger as do many rising seniors.

We'll have 2 open schollies now with Hyatt probably going to LSU. Would like Massoud and a center with height that can contribute right away.

Only one available at this time. If Hyatt came here there would be no space unless someone else left.

Ugh you're right I keep getting it mixed up. Mulcahy is taking Doorson's spot as of now, and we have one open spot beyond that. While Massoud would be great I'd actually prefer a talented center for that spot.

Here's a pretty great clip of Massoud playing off the ball and wreaking havoc. The kids not just a shooter. Now I really want him:

There's a lot of different ways to go when you are rebuilding...Hyatt Massoud and countless others can help on the wing or stretch PF.....

Massoud is the better defensive player vs Hyatt and better off the dribble...Hyatt already has a B1G Power 5 body, also a good shooter, but not as mobile defensively.

Massoud projects immediately to the Top 7 of the rotation in 2019.

Agreed! Honestly, if we don't get Hyatt or Massoud, I'm still very optimistic about the roster for 2019-2021 when Geo is a junior and senior. I know we need to keep upgrading, but there's just no obvious holes at any spot the way there have been the last few years if guys like Harper Marhis and McConnell develop.

I'm almost always overly optimistic, but I just think the way Pike has been recruiting most plan b, c, or d guys will still upgrade the roster. As such, the thought process of "must-get" guys or kids being the savior of the program should be behind us.

But I'd still really like to land Massoud.

Massoud is that damn stretch four that can change create match up problems ...and would walk into a great situation, playing 15 minutes as a frosh behind Eugene and then could be a three year starter...

LOVE MASSOUD

Tall guard who loves to mix it up. Imagine if Mike Williams grew six inches...thats him.
