Issa

Can you not dress as a coaches decision in college?

Pike might be doing his best to open up another scholarship for next year

Sorry I guess what I meant was he had his warmups on/wasn’t at the ready to go into the game. Wasn’t just that he never got put in.

@NJDOVES agreed, i think hell see more minutes soon. I hope he gets back. I like his defense due to size and was showing confidence early. Being sick set him back a bit. Good W today and with Nebby regardless. Onto the next

Totally agree. The really good thing is Pikes Staff. They will teach him how to get open, plus we have very good guards and ball movement which will help get him better looks. Confidence is key.

You were at practice? Made up news. Such is life. It wasn’t like we played great w/o him.

But he is a junior. He essentially is what he is at this point. If we’re going to play poorly do it with the freshman who might learn something from it

Not sure if you guys have watched much RU basketball the past 3 years

He has been taught for 3 years... I hope it clicks for him soon but his time for that to happen is dwindling

Gotta believe he was sick or hurt, as we could have used him for a few minutes on defense when Harper got in foul trouble.

#1 - I've not missed a Rutgers B-BALL game in 20 some years, so I guess I’ve seen the past three years. I’ve personally witnessed many jr’s being mediocre and become really good seniors. In fact I’m still hopeful that Doorson does just that. Now I’m hoping Issa does the same.

7 for 16 from 3-point range -- 44%. This was the difference in the game. Plus 15-21 on FTs.
% was higher and I like the fact we didn’t take as many. Certainly a difference maker. But how does Issa factor into this? Issa is not a chucker. % is up because Geo didn’t force up as many. What’s the correlation?

Issa is shooting terribly. He didn't bring down the percentage. Issa is no threat to do anything offensively in terms of creating or generating offense so the offense flows better with him off the court.

Do you really think our offense flowed today?

Can we stop with the Issa talk already

Root for the kid to play better like everyone on the team

As of right now, he has been passed on the depth charts by players playing better basketball on a team that is starting to win

That is program building

If thiam plays better ...the coach will give him his chance and he will have to earn it with results

If we are to be a successful program...this is going to happen. It’s just that thiam is the first noticeable upperclassman that has been passed on the depth chart by youth
