Blackout against Illinois?

you can’t sell black t-shirts if everyone is aware of the blackout. Probably sell plenty of shirts when people walk in and go “damn it’s a blackout , let’s see if they have any blackout t-shirts available “.

Well at the RAC the crowd here so far (almost full student section, 4,000 everywhere else) is 95% black clothing. So despite the pundits on here, people actually got the message

Just about everyone got the message about wearing black. Most people don’t need 39 days notice to find a black shirt.

Yup, it was a great crowd and almost all black. So much so you could see how few Illinois fans were in attendance. The usual everything is wrong crowd led by Bac were wrong again..By the way if they sent a text a week earlier the same crowd would contend -- it was too early.

Getting back to tonight's Illinois game, tickets available for $1 on the ticket resale sites - for a game against a top 25 conference rival. Doesn't appear fans are rushing into the RAC for the black out.
I got this game totally wrong. My view was 1) RAC would be half full based on $1 tix, 2) blackout would fail due to late announcement (I received blackout email at 4pm), 3) Dylan H wouldn’t play because of ankle injury, and 4) #23 Illinois would win the game.

Jerry Recco and Austin announced the game on WFAN and I listened. Extremely critical of refs, more critical even then TKR posters.

Saw the video of High Knees cutting through the lane alongside Ace - ridiculous.

Didn’t get much attention I don’t think but the pass made to connect Ace’s block to his dunk was awesome. Seems easy but a lot of players lack this type of court vision today.
