Sad, but very true post. Been an RU fan since my dad started taking me to the RAC during the Hinson years. I'm in the same place as you. Rutgers is what it is and that's never going to change.

And finished 7-6 after starting 7-0. He did win the ACC a few years ago, though.
Kyle was a great fourth quarter player. Kept drives alive. Kansas State’s cheese cloth defense wouldn’t have stopped him.
RU's cheese cloth defense didn't stop KSU all game. And KC didn't adjust when KSU changed defensive tactics.
If Rutgers changed to the Fieldhouse option offense, the result would have been different. But Rutgers doesn't have a Fieldhouse to run that option, and . . . . . .

Not really . Would you rather be left out of the bowls ? That is not good trust me .
Its all about the extra month of practice and team-building at bowl game venues.. to go without puts you at a permanent disadvantage. NCAA should do something about that.. but can you imagine forcing players to practice during bowl season with no bowl game?
One Day we will get a GREAT QB that will have a Magical season...Until then we will never be a playoff team...AK is a good QB but we need a Heisman-type/season guy ( get some votes) one day to get us to another level...Has any other Big Program been this bad/mediocre forever at QB for so long? Only 3 QB ever drafted in over 100 years ( last one was Mike Teel 15 years ago in round 6) with the highest being Mike McMahon as the 18th pick in Round 5 in 2001
