You left out “or tear down other fans”.

The negativity started by calling out people who evaluated Davis on his prior play - questioning his role and minutes.

I agree we shouldn't tear each other down either. However, the people who hard on negative stuff repeatedly and make this board unreadable need to be checked at times.

I don't think anybody said that. The issue is he tries to do too much on offensive end. More than apparently capable of.

He’s been playing within himself since Penn State and has been a positive since.

The last 2 games Davis has started to show glimpses and why several platforms had him as a breakout player in the big 10. I think his continued progress is the key to the season for this team. I’m optimistic he settling in.

It helps that Dercack has taken over the role of head down forced shots while doubled teamed by taller more athletic players.

AND I hate saying that because I love the kid’s toughness, energy and attitude. But as long as he is forcing against superior talent, then I’d rather see Davis get the minutes, especially as the talent level of our opponents increases as league play ramps up.

What about FG % (worst on the team)? Is that useless too? How about FT % (worst on the team) or 3P % (2nd worst on the team)?

His other stats, including defensive ones, are all also either terrible or average.

Thank God Pike doesn't just rely on all of these stats. He has been a key contributor to our last several wins. He's helped us get leads and he's helped us maintain leads, and his defense is relative. Pike usually has him covering the opposition's best guard. Without him we are 0-2 in the Big 10.

I’m not there with him. I still think he’s trying to punch above his weight, do too much, and I have felt his selfish play at times has been infuriating. He needs to know and consistently play his role as facilitator, defender, and make some plays on O. Hot some damn FTs. He needs to fully embrace his place in the team. He isnt the only one either.

Supporting cast needs to show up now. Earn that f-ing NIL.
