Actually the year we just missed the NCAA with Billet and Hodgson we split with Georgetown each winning on the road

Seemed like we would always lose our conference opener, whether being sent to the Carrier Dome or losing a really dumb game like USF, also on the road, so that doesn't surprise me. But my question is: when was the last time we were over .500 in conference? Did we do it last year or are we going all the way back to 1998 or so? Maybe that was it?

edit: checked and we beat Temple to start our lone AAC campaign but that's kinda weak. Looks like we started 2-1 the year before that, 2013. Wow, that team collapsed, Rice really lost them. What a mess.
