Janarian Grant

Does anyone else share my concern about Grant's increased workload? Due to his size, can he hold up for an entire season?
To answer your question, concerns? Yes. But that is true for any of our offensive guys who have their hands on the ball a lot. In a way, though, I think his small size, elusiveness and vision works in his favor as he avoids most "crushing type" hits.

Regarding Grant, it's the risk RU has to take. One good thing is that he is so elusive that he rarely takes hard hits.

And the answer is the same he has the quicks to duck and cover on incoming hits and we have Jawuan Harris to take his place

Concern? Sure. But, we ain't wrapping him in bubble wrap; it'll slow him down.

Hopefully, in the handful of games that we "should" win, we use him early, and then take a look at the next guy on the depth chart. This will allow the backup to get some experience and save him for later games.

Experience for the backup? Wow! What a novel concept.

We have not seen how he will be used in a real game, Saturday was only practice, nothing to learn from.
Call it what you want, the OC set the stage of what this Offense will do in the fall. and it was a lot of Grant on screens, flare passes and end around, so Grant is a focal point with Harris as a back up.
good things will come as our RB will thrive Martin & Hicks "quick first steps" they can explode with the spread.

If we deliver the ball to him as it is drawn up, he'll have a fighting chance to make plays and avoid injury (this is now a bread and butter play for us) Didnt really see that with any consistency on Saturday, especially early on, but it did get better. If the throws don't give HIM time to react, he'll get clobbered. Should be OK for a sweep. I guess we'll find out what works best and I hope it will be everything.

Seems to have gotten much bigger in the upper body:
