Jordans legacy and what he will be remembered for

I'll remember him for:

1. Being the smooth operator that Tom Young needed in 74-75 and 75-76 seasons;
2. Losing by 61 to Louisville in Year 1;
3. Beating Wisconsin in Year 2; and
4. The worst season in RU history in Year 3.

He was known as an all-time great player who came in to weather the Mike Rice storm. He's done that. Nobody thinks about Rice anymore.

Just how bad we are as a basketball team. Haha.

Baer and Okah at Iowa are walk ons. 2G's like Jarred Nickens (Maryland) shouldn't count.

Preseason we were 6'11"(Doorson), 6'10"(Diallo), 6'9"(Lewis), 6'8" (Foreman-exagerrated) and 6'7" (Freeman-Not exaggerated). That was one of the biggest front lines in the league preseason. Unfortunately they got hurt.

why do people like you continue to post about 6ft 2 guy guarding 6ft9 or whatever guys...by and large that didnt happen. We had Lewis and Foreman in most of the time in the 4/5 spots . Lewis and Foreman were/are better than Diallo/Doorson...yes the lack of depth but there is an overexaggeration here as well...and for much of the nonconference schedule we had Diallo or a little bit less Freeman and it wasnt anything good we were seeing.

The impact loss was Freeman...thats it. Doorson was going to help with rebounding and depth and if he wasnt hurt I bet Lewis would have then been sideline so we would still be short. You must believe that Doorson would have been an offensive force...i dont.

If the spaceship is ready for liftoff (which I agree), then why are all of you idiots calling for the coach to be fired? He didn't have a roster to coach.

Its like putting 5 wide receivers at offensive line for Rutgers and then blaming coach Ash if they can't block defensive tackles. It's pure lunacy.

Is Jordans team a decent defensive team?No. Is Jordans team a great rebounding team?No. Is jordans strength and conditioning coach adaquete? No. Are any of these things what you want to see in the future of Rutgers basketball?No.

Supported Jordan but he is not the coach to lead this team to win. He is too offensive minded, along with everything else. The players are here. The coach is not.

I will always remember him shaking my hand from out the bus window on the way to Old Queens to ring the bell after we finished the 75-76 season undefeated.

I will remember EJ as " Fast Eddie" and his being a major part of one of the best Rutgers teams of all time . He's a decent class guy and loyal son of Rutgers who took over a disgraced program at rock bottom. His record as coach I'll try and forget. The program is still at rock bottom and an embarrassment .....

The whole Freeman injury excuse is moot. The guy had a lengthy suspension.
