Reports saying KC likes a projected third day RB who ran a 4.33 as a big RB.

Pacheco's "physical running style has left him prone to injuries as evidenced by his shoulder and hand injuries in Super Bowl LVII, followed by the clean-up surgery he had during the 2023 NFL season. Having not just a backup, but a complement to his style could prove vital for the future, and the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine has shown that the team has some level of interest in finding that player in the upcoming draft.

No player at the running back position turned more heads in Indianapolis this week than Louisville RB Isaac Guerendo.

Listed at 6-foot and 221 pounds, Guerendo jumped out of the building with a 41.5-inch vertical (first among RBs). His 4.33s 40-yard dash at his height and weight was legendary (also first among RBs). He posted a 99th-percentile speed score and a 98th-percentile burst score, making him one of the rarest athletes the NFL has ever seen at the RB position. "

Like Pacheco Guerendo's CFB yardage was open to "speculation."

"He spent four years at Wisconsin where he recorded just 99 attempts for 582 yards and six rushing touchdowns before transferring to Louisville. With the Cardinals in 2023, Guerendo averaged a respectable 6.1 yards per carry for 810 rushing yards with 11 touchdowns. He also can catch passes out of the backfield with 42 catches for 358 yards and a touchdown during his collegiate career."

NFL Combine proves Kansas City Chiefs are looking for lightning to RB Isiah Pacheco's thunder

It's your job till it isn't. IP started the '22 season as the #3 or #4 RB for KC. An injury and lack of production steadily moved him up. That's one reason why teams don't like to pay RB's a ton of money. The position is too volatile.

As steady as Gus Edwards and Justice Hill have been for the Ravens there was a UFA rookie taking carries away from them until he was injured and out for the rest of the season.

Did you notify Pacheco that he’s out at KC? Can guarantee Gurendo won’t be in KC as long as it’s posted on this site.

Nobody saying Pacheco is being replaced. Article mentions Pacheco's early injuries and the need for another RB who could help share the hits.

Realize that Any Reid isn't general manager like Belichick. Reid and Mahomes both wanted to keep Tyreek Hill but GM (Brett Veach) wouldn't go heavy on the guaranteed money. A star for KC is in Miami and killin it.

As good as Pacheco has been (on a team with great Passing and OL) nobody should think its a lock Pacheco gets the big contract on a team loaded with high salary stars and SB wins (Chris Jones just got 95m guaranteed in new contract). Pop wont be unrestricted FA until 2026.

"Looking ahead, Pacheco's contract is set to extend through the 2025 NFL season. He becomes eligible for a contract extension in 2025 and is scheduled to enter unrestricted free agency in 2026. His cap numbers for 2024 and 2025 are projected to be $1.005 million and $1.120 million, respectively.

Notably, if the Chiefs opt to move on from Pacheco at any point, their financial obligation would be limited to the remaining signing bonus of $19,777 per season, making him a low-risk investment for Kansas City."

Your MO never changes… can’t believe you post this about of course a former 2 time SB winner from Rutgers.
