No worries. Close loses like this do matter to some extent. To lose this way perception is so much better.

So no matter how good we think we are, the narrative that we can't win away from the RAC will be hanging on us AGAIN. 8 home Big Ten games left, 9 road, 1 neutral (MSG). 2-0 with a road win against a ranked team in the conference would have been massive. Instead we're playing must win games at home again to hold the fort. I guess the only solace is that although it's still a loss, everyone around the country knows we were screwed. It wasn't like last year going on the road at Illinois and getting destroyed by 35. But we need to keep winning and get off the schneid away from home. The blowouts against patsies, close losses, and 2 of our losses being with key players out (the committee does consider that) are things still working in our favor though.

A huge road Q1 win this early in the season would have been massive for our resume and would have taken so much pressure off the team to win on the road.

At Purdue will be extremely tough but then we get @Northwestern. Need to take care of business there

People forget that RU won 4 conference road games last year, including at Wisconsin, Indiana and Maryland, all tough places to play. I suspect that RU’s 4-6 record on the road in conference was at or above the league average.

This year's team is better defensively and relies less on outside shooting. That should be a recipe for more success on the road. We also have more players who can score. As long as a few have a good game we should be in most games
