I don't follow women's basketball. I follow football and men's hoops. But obviously, this is a big story so I came over here to see people's reactions.

In general, I tend to side with the coach in these types of matters. But it does seem clear that once Rutgers gets a new AD in place, they are going to have to look at promoting Tasha Pointer to head coach. Coach Washington is not doing a good job of identifying young women that fit her culture. As coach Schiano says, you don't just take the best talent. You have to take guys are a fit for your program. Otherwise, these situations are inevitable.

CW actually looks pretty good in how she handles this. Greg has said repeatedly that he takes the trust parents put in him to help finish raising them seriously.

As a parent, I’d rather have my kid play for a coach who is going to hold them accountable rather than one who only sees them as an instrument to win games.

My thoughts exactly. I coached plenty of teams where I sent a better player packing due to internal problems usually caused by a parent.

I read that she is. I hope she grows from this - and maybe puts some distance between a support structure that’s clearly not steering her in the right direction and will do damage to her long term prospects.
