Kristian Dyer outs person who leaked info

Pretty easy to figure out?

I have absolutely no clue on who it is.

Am I supposed to know every person involved with rutgers athletics administration?

Whoever it is, I'm glad he didn't get said job in the athletic dept.!!! I mean talk about petty and unprofessional!!

why not just give the name - source is protected.

Media folk protect their sources. Seargant would protect this guy. Dyer has no reason to protect Seargants sources. He has a job to report the news. If Dyer knows who it is, I'm sure everyone at Rutgers knows by now or will know soon. Dyer has no obligation to keep quiet. The guy just published an article stating he knows who it is and it's a disgruntled admin employee. He didn't do that because he wanted to protect the source, he did that so people inside Rutgers would come running to him for info.

Thank you Kris. Not only did he subtly out the guy, but also severed the tenuous thread of credibility that this story rested upon.

One can also assume the SL writers(can't bring myself to call them reporters), knew the leaker's motivation. Yet they still ran with the story, knowing the questionable circumstances under which they were given the information. It's unbelievable that based on their source's motivation, they still ran a story claiming coach Flood's job was in serious jeopardy. Given what Kris just wrote, that was never even a consideration.

NJ.com and the SL tried to inflate at most a guideline infraction into a full-scale scandal. What a bunch of SOBs. These two media outlets can't go out of business fast enough for me.

Is Zoff still part of Rutgers Administration? Thought he was off the BOG now?

It could be Zoffinger but it also could be any of those wack jobs who were pissed at TPs firing and took out that horrible ad in the SL calling for Julie to be fired

Why are people here trying to protect the leaker? Just spit it out if you know who it is!

I don't know who it is i could name like 4 people that jumped to my mind.

Zoff doesn't fit the description of "a member of the university's administration who has ties with the athletic department but is not a part of the athletic department. The apparent desire to leak the information, the source said, stems from this individual's bitterness over not receiving a specific job in the athletic department".

Zoff has not been a member of the university administration for years, and his beef was with Mulcahy. Zoff runs a private Capital corporation and sits on the boards of several companies, including Devco and NJ Resources. But there is nothing to indicate that he had any recent interest in any job within Rutgers Athletics.

The 4 people that came to mind all left Rutgers. So now i really have no clue. According to the article they work for Rutgers applied for a job in the AD and are now extremely bitter and leaked this. They could have been leaking nonsense to the sl and mj com this entire time.

@Upstream is correct, it's not Zoffinger. At this point he wouldn't even come close to having the kind of day to day access to the operation necessary to learn that Flood sent an email to an adjunct professor at Mason Gross.

So a Rutgers employee wanted to give the school another black eye?
Any chance this clown loses his job?
