The lack of facilities is often used as an excuse for why the men's basketball program is so bad. How then is Coach Stringer able to recruit highly sought after talent and succeed in her women's program ? It's often said we first need top facilities to attract the talent for our men's program. But is that so? Is it possible that we first need a top coach who is able to get top recruits and then facilities can follow? If that's so , it would require a much smaller initial investment to land a top high profile coach than to build a new gym or practice facility.
