The team played well enough to win today. All they had to do was convert half of the layups they missed. With no outside shooting and no inside presence, points are going to be hard to come by so you have to convert your easy shots. There aren't going to be many opportunities to knock off a league team this season and this was one of those blown opportunities. We've come to expect it from Daniels, but the blown layups syndrome seemed to spread to Sanders, Williams and co. too. It's really amazing, I've never seen a D1 team miss more gimme layups and open inside shots than RU does.

Uh actually it's called "lack of talent". I mean...seriously...other than Sanders who on RU would you want on your team ?
And this team is S-O-F-T.

Rutgers has such a small margin for error because there are so few consistent scorers.Missed layups are just part of what is to be expected along with poor rebounding and far too many turnovers. This was a winnable game because Indiana had over 20 turnovers but in the end the 3 pointers from the corners was the difference.

Just got back from game.
1 Williams was horrible and I like the kid. Terrible game
2. How many layups are we going to miss?
3. Daniels has no basketball IQ. Terrible. And with a minute left Indiana missed the first foul shot. I swear I said to guy next to me they will miss foul shot and get rebound. And sure enough kid missed and Indiana got rebound. Saw this under Mike Rice and it drives me nuts.

We had a 6'4" guard trying to box out a center. Injuries to the big guys are hurting us.

They were long rebounds. Has nothing to do with 6.4 guy trying to box out. The second guard who was not there on some shots bc Eddie had them downcourt , or the second guard is supposed to pinch into Indiana guy and depending which side ball comes off that guard has to go get it..it is a basic basketball drill. It cost us a couple chances to tie the game down 6 bc they got 3-4 more possessions in last 2 minutes.

You can have 2 guards there and the 6'8" PF/C will get the rebound every time on a missed FT. Not enough spacing for a box out and the back side guard will not out jump the big man.

Everything would have to go right for us to beat Indiana. However, we are good enough to beat Nebraska at home. They look really bad.

Was at the game-was wondering if Williams hurt his hand- sat a good portion of 2nd half and when he did come in he had his right hand wrapped.
Tough to play game without a long bench- injuries hurt us-
Need to work on transition defense

"lack of finishers"? You can say that about pretty much every season the past decade.

The missed layups were a bummer, but the inability to defend the 3 was much more frustrating because that is a problem that the coaching staff should have fixed by now.

He did something wrong on the offensive end Jordan didn't like and pulled him.
