I have to admit that I was as down as anyone after the early losses last year. I was concerned that he just wasn’t going to be able to reach that team last year and thankfully I was wrong.

But I never once thought about firing him or him being the wrong guy for the job. The thing is if you met the guy (and I’m sure many on this board have) you want to root like hell for him to succeed.

Was it just the usual suspects? Everybody was disappointed in the early part of last season, but I never wavered in my support of Pike as RU coach.
